Its all fitted now and looks pretty good also makes a lovely noise! Not sure on any power gains but guess Ill find out at the midland RR next Sat.
Looks great as well.
With regards to the pipe its gone done where the original one was behind the headlight. Couldnt really fit it anywhere...
Have the day off trying fit this viper kit but its a bit of a pig. Anybody got any tips for a MK2 172 engine? Even better can anybosy post a pic of it after its bee fitted? Pipercross seem to have instructions on their website ( didnt get any in the box) but nothing for a Mk2 172.
Any help...
that would be a great way of getting cold air in though? I never use my fogs really anyway as most drivers get annoyed with people putting them on if its not foggy, I know I do!
I knew that of course! Im not sure about the pipe as yet, will have to see when it gets here. Any ideas on the best place to stick it as have a standard mesh?
BTW is there any way of remiving a fog light to put feed the pipe down there? Saw it on a Cossie once and thought it was a good idea?
Have just bought one of these from K-Tec. Just need to know if its the same as fitting a standard induction kit or are there any special requirements? Also will it be beneficial getting a heat shield?

Mines been really good. the only grumble I have is everytime Ive taken it in to have the tracking done (too much hard driving!) they never put the steering wheel back on straight which is a pain in the arse for the indicators!
I doubt it but you never know, tis a lot of dosh after all.
And Nick that DOESNT include an exhaust and induction kit, just head work and chipping. Think Ill pass on that and wait to save a bit more cash to get some real TB work done!
14 bhp extra is a lot to expect from a new ECU though? I was just looking at my optins have money buring a hole in my pocket at the moment! My car is still standard so ill see what it pumps out at the Midland RR day in Feb.
Am still waiting for someone to get back to me on fitting a...
I dont really fancy getting an ECU anyway as the R-Sport will be out in the near future. I was jut seeing what options I have although thats an expensive one!
Hi,
Ive just had an email saying that they would do an engine conversion for my Cup. This seems to include a remapped ECU, exhaust and induction kit. It was reatailing at £1250 inc fitting which seems a little steep to me?
Has anyone had one of these fitted to a 172 and are they worth the...
apparently this problem exists on a Scooby and they have a "black box" to trick the lamda sensors into thinking the cat is there, he wasnt sure if itll work on the Clio Mk2 thats why he wanted mine to play with!
As before I replied "No way monkey man"
Cheers mate, im after soemthing to replace the cat aswell but its difficult as the Mk2 has twin lamda sensors meaning if I did take it out then the SERV light would constantly be on :(
but Ive got a new Sony active black and was told theres no current adaptor for it and it was a lot more than £175! :o
If there is one then someone gets fcuked up at a certain audio shop in Oxford...
