Ever since i have had my valver the heater has only worked on full wack or not at all i believe this is a common fault with Mk1 Clios and that the resistor is at fault, but i havmnlt a clue where to get at this resistor to get it out and set about fionding a replacment, someone on here must have...
lightening and balancing along wont really show any increase in power, just far more responsive, but it is partly what needed if your going to make a high reving engine.
But..... i thought an engine has peek point at which its working at its best, this would be a given speed of the piston...
anyone replaced indicator stalks on a clio 16v? are the phase 1 and two the same plugs at the back> i bought a later one (not sure how late) and it was differnt, i need a new one for my phase 1 but have been offered a phase 2 and need to know if it will fit?
cant see them on my spare rack, i will have another look, if they are there then it seems poccible they would wear, but i dont see why they would be needed, unless they are under the gaitier they arent there, your not getting confused with bottom ball joints are you?
like i keep saying...
Neil, i say you should come to us, your the one with the fuel economy!
Ben J i am refering to Ben H who loves by me at the moment, he has also driven my car and i am yet to see his moving properly!
it is absolutly stunning, i would love to get my car to that condition but it simply isnt...
oh right,
i thought you knew all about the track rod end (inc a ball joint) thats what ive been talking about mate, they wear relativily quickely due to the large wheels 16s and williams have,
track rod ends are easy to replace, see first reply!
good luck
right.
my williams engned 16v will beat all standard VTS saxos, if your HDi is quicker then Bens then then im selling up and buying one,
Ben it would be good for you and me to meet that local lad with the VTS to save the face of the mighty 16v.
My clio is a flyer, it beat a 106 GTi that...
excellent result mate, would love to know what mine does it in, thats 3 of us with 2ltr swaps using 16v boxs, they are flyers lower down, or did you get the williams box?
what spec is yours? mine is full williams engine, HP chip, HP de-cat, full magnex and piper X,16v cast manifold, and...
could be the bushes securing the rack, the are big round things that bolt the rack to the bulk head, i think the track rod comes with the rack and cant be bought seperatly (the nut on the end which rounds for a past time only comes with the rack!)
one way of finding out is to put it in for an...
this one has been written off, its a moderate (see heavy in real world) side impact, i have no worried about buying, driving and selling a damaged car as long as everyone knows, problems only arise when people believe they are buying straight cars and the plob pay them a visit to check chassis...
are the rear quater, doors, and front wing, roof and floor/sill any differnt from base models, i need to know bacause im looking at a damaaged mK1 and need to estimate whats involved.
thanks in advance
sorry to be the bearer of bad news james, but once the money has been handed over it becomes much much harder to get money off, if you stall payment on reasonable grounds then your are in a far better position to bargain with them if it were my car i would have had all the other work done...
i dont think there is much you can argue with, all wear and tear items, Renault will take you for all your worth it where they make thier money, these are just perishable items, if you get either a new head gasket fitted for £80 or a free tyre 6 months after buying the car the i will eat my...
do the bottom ball joints and track rod ends first, the track rod is just a treaded bar at either end and is the female connection between the rack and the tarck rod ends where they joing the lower arm assembly, i had problems with steering and couldn;t find any play in any of the joints while...
its easy as long as it not all siezed up, unbolt the track rod end and wind it out from the rack remebering to note approximatly how far it was wound in, then get your tracking re-set, but they do have a tendancy to sieze up and will need some gentle encouragment, if tis really stuck heat ip...
i was very tempted also by the cup, that dim girl must have money to birn on insurance,
2live should able to back me up on this but isn;t a willaims (and therefore a cup) quicker to 100?
ive gone off the escort cos now, when i was 16 and had a moped i used to get very excited about them but...
the torque is partly due to it being a longer stroke engine, pistons traveling faster at the same RPM, i think williams cams are 285s and 16v are 270s, which seem odd but they are quite differnt engines.
G13NN X i will reply fully to your PM on here when i get the chance, i have got all the...
i used a stage 1 hill power williams chip and standard 16v box with williams chip, allow for new cam belt and tensioners and albsolutly everythiing to be replaced while its out, it cost me about £350 in bits from GSF and another £50 or so from renault,
the gearbox is a compromise, but beware...
