I was watching the formula 1 last weekend, and looking at how they get the air into the engines. Obviously they have a big duct above the drivers head which funnels air down to a panel filter.
I wondered if anyone had made a bonet scoop/air intake direct to the air box on their motors?
Im...
Hi Rod, had the same trouble on mine. I had to get trade sales to tell the supplying dealer my car is from inside the EU (paris) they then gave me 2 years warranty. When i phoned up to check they said if i send my details to them, i will get the 3rd year as well! Most pleased.
Im with Hugo on this one Daz, 106 aint bad, but fiesta is so fluid, bit like a big Go-Kart :devilish:
Bigger throttal bodie, cams and panel filter will net you around 115-125 Bhp, depends what cams you go for. Was a company doing a supercharger for them. Gave it 145bhp!
Insurance group 8 for the Zetec S, if thats ok go for it, I had a 1.4 Zetec (89 bhp massive I know) was one of the best handling cars i have ever driven!
Well if you can put up with all that and still love em they must be good
But if the ladies were itching to get in....... i can see ya point GREAT FUN ;)
An S3 should be around 16/17ish to a 100 & 6 something to 60? sorry for the rough idea but it gives you a clue.
I would of thought the S3 owner was more miffed than you, he prob paid £24,000 to be held by a £12,000 Clio. :D
Bloody rare for a few years, if you have the kit installed you invalidate the TLC package. And talk to mini owner and they all seem to have had trouble, could just be the early cars, but I wouldnt bet against it.
Dont get me wrong I think the Clio 172 is fantasic, its a proper hot hatch :D
Yeah your right RobFenn gearing is to long in the cooper S, but still i think it would be a lot of fun. They handle SOOOOOO well, with the mad top end of the hartge kit and the right wheels (16s) it would be a hanfull for any 172.
Anyone raced a hartge mini?
Chicken soup, yeah the sort that gives you Indigestion :devilish:
As for the Hartge kit your trying to get 200bhp (most say it runs 212bhp) through the front wheels, in gear it would keep a 172 honest, if not have the edge?
Hi tomclio1.2, i have done, and they were very helpfull. But i just want an owners opinion. Theres nothing better really. ITG say the kit mite be out in 2 months time, and said the person testing the development kit on the Cup loved it. Just want to hear from someone whos parted with there money...
oh through the gears thats what i would expect, but if he was behinde you in say 4th or 5th, you in the same gear at motorway speeds (say 80-90) you would leave him for dust. But round the bends mmmmmm that would be close, they REALLY hang on :devilish:
Yeah its got the looks, but from my exsperiance you really need to work that engine to get the best from it. Great on a thrash but a real pain on the motorway. Its basically the same engine as in the 2.0ltr zetec, just different cams and a six speed box. Think they did some head work to, bits...
Does anyone know someone with an ITG Maxogen kit fitted to any car, 206, Elise, MGF, VTR, Civic? I Want to know how loud and what sort of sound you would get from there air box?
