Youll have a d7f engine if its a 98 1.2 8v as below.
1.4 8v have e7j engine code and usually look like this.
I cant help with your alternator question unfortunately.
Recently its had.
New Brembo discs and pads up front.
Mintex Discs/Pads/Bearings/Rings on the rear.
Last week it had.
New Mobil 1 Dot 4 Brake fluid.
HEL Braided Brake Lines x 4
EVOL Engineering Yellow Dogbone.
New thermostat.
On order.
New upper gbox mount to hopefully kill some vibrations...
Im looking at refreshing my current suspension setup as the car feels downright dangerous to drive tbh. Skippy. Edgy. Not inspiring confidence etc.
Its my daily. Im looking at doing a euro road trip later this year in it. It will probably never see a track in my ownership. Maybe santa pod RWYB...
Well just to end this thread, @bloke was correct in saying id crushed the stub axle.
Fixed now thankfully with his advice. Cheers everyone who replied.
I was a bit heavy handed with the pulling tool. It split straight in half. Half in the front of the disk. Half left on the stub. Oh well. You live and learn.
Cheers for the advice @bloke.
I picked up some emery cloth today, getting new bearings pressed in tomorrow by a mate while im at work, that should hopefully solve it :)
That should explain why the disks that slipped on so easily where a t**t to get off and were impossible to put back on..
How have i managed that? Brute force and stupidty i imagine..
Just swapped discs and pads all round on my ph1. We forgot to put the spacers back in the new discs. Now we cant get the new disc off again. Ideas? Pulling tools?
Dont wanna mess up my new discs.
Rear.
Yes. Needs rear arch liners too.
Front.
Bonnet. Lights. Wings. Grill. Bumpers. Arch liners. Headlight looms maybe..
Not really worth it unless you intend to paint afterwards. Otherwise the panels will most likely be diff shades to the rest of your car, which then leaves your car looking...
Does anyone knows the difference in total length between the single lambda and twin lambda versions of the ph1 cat?
My diy effort is single lambda, my fitted cat is twin lambda. So i need to buy a repair section with a lambda boss and get that welded in to the correct length.
Anyone?
Im in the process of making a home made decat. So far ive hacked the ends off a ph1 twin barrel cat and removed its guts.
Will a scrappy accept it if its not the complete cat? ive literally got half a carrier bag of honeycomb chunks id like to weigh in next week.
Also I was toying with the...

Big lump of money but may be what you need, providing it meets your event regs.
Edit. From your pics its looks like the software versions maybe be diff. Your orriginal ecu says v4.x (cant see the rest) and your new unit says. V5.6.
Id say the new unit isnt compatible with your car for whatever reason.
I think it may contribute. Im not really up on renualts ecu production codes. But i would replace like for like. Same year if possible. Are there any manufacturer dates you can compare between the two units?.
Have a think also about the solution i pm'd you.
In F&F world, a milk float would out drag the cops aslong as Walker was behind the wheel.
Tints + Zorst + Sparco steering wheel = +150bhp
OT: For me personally.
30mm drop, Decat, Stainless, Engine/Gbox bushes. Remap.
Who am i kidding.. TURBO!!!
