stuart owned it from new I see what your saying was only a little water all electrical stuff was covered up should have been safe as I said spark plugs are out the way, im 99% certain its not my fault.......... Will just wait and see what they say, anyway pick my 182 up in the morning cant wait.

The spark plugs are tucked right away under the top of the engine block they say the only way to get water in there would be to pressure/steam wash the engine which I simply havent done

They havent done the work yet so I havent payed anything! I just got the call this morning saying "the problem is that I have water contamination in my engine which has caused the spark plugs to corrode, you have obviously had the engine cleaned which has caused this so the bill is 258.17 vat...

Thanks Juanboy to be fair to Renault Dartford the tech (Matt) has always worked on my car and has always been spot as he also owns an RS so knows all the common probs etc..

Will certainly question it tomorrow when I pick it up..... Really dont want a repeat of last weeks performance...

That would show up when they plug the 182 into the comp right? What do you think about there diagnosis?

Not sure why it had a service at that mileage tbh would have thought that it needs to be fairly strict in order for the warranty, maybe im missing the point here.... If that price is for a main dealer then I would say that it is a fair price mate. Rob.

Alright Aberclio182 just a little confused mate thats all, your asking is that a fair price for a 18k service for the 182 difficult to answer coz that service interval is not for the 182.. Are you saying that your on 18k and it hasnt had a serivce for 2 years so its now due?

The 182 broke down into misfire with the flashing exhaust on saturday and as quickly as it happened it stopped and returned to normal and then came back again, was fine when it went to the dealer..
