That looks nice cant help thinking thats how my rubbish magnex should look... Have you had to cable tie or modify the rear mounts at all?
Does it knock about going over speed bumps or vibrate/ catch the rear bumper?
Rob.
Fletch123 since the weather has cooled the clutch seems fine all nice and smooth probably wont need to worry till next year hopefully!!
I want my 182 back.
Hmmm.. Sounds very similar to what happened to me although I never noticed the temp gauge definatly misfiring ticking over well s**t! I was driving down the A2 about 30mph waiting for it to die on me then as quickly as it played up it went fine again then broke again.. When I got it to the...
Funnycar55 im probably gonna go up there tomorrow after work and have a word see what they can do coz I cant really be without my car as I said..
I am not one to normally start moaning but a what point should you ay enough is enough its going on to long now?
Didnt noitce anything like that to be honest I was on my way to work so was about 5am so was still half asleep though the AA dude thought it might be something to do with the ignition coils or spark plug related??? I imagine if the temp gauge was acting odd then I would have noticed, maybe...
I had my first major breakdown saturday just gone. I was driving to work saturday morning, all of a sudden car started to misfire badly through the whole rev range and the exhaust gas monitoring light was flashing... Anyway I called the AA they told me I cant drive it and had to get it towed to...
Probably not worth the effort then?? Ive been watching all the posts on the acoustic valve closely there seems to be mixed reactions... When I fitted a stainless steal exhaust I noticed the induction noise got a little fruitier as some say. Running an ITG panel at the mo.
Rob.
Funny there has been a post this morning about this. On my way to work this morning (4:30) my car did this misfiring lark and that light was flashing constantly I limped into work with lots of misfire, called the AA a few hours later to get a tow into my local dealership now I just have to wait...

Is this a sign that the engine mounts have moved?
When I first got the car nearly 3 years ago now I had the engine mounts re positioned as I had some knocking a slow speeds... I know that what renault have said is rubbish coz ive had the springs and zorst on for ages and it never did it before...
I dont think ive ever really turned it off that I can remember does it make lots of difference when accelerating hard? Or just when you throw it into a bend?
Rob.
My car is lowered on Eibach pro springs and has a magnex exhaust and im sure this it not the cause as Renault has stated!..
When I pull away or as I approach a junction/ roundabout etc to the point where the car slows right down, say in 2nd gear and there is nothing coming at the roundabout...
I got my 1st oil change done at renault they supplied all appropriate bits cost me just shy of a ton!! couldnt beileve it!!
Noticed a few weeks later they had made a right mess, I had a small pool of oil sitting on my sump guard was not best pleased. Renault Orpington actually..
Got a bloke at...
My first systems tailpipes were fine, I did need cable ties though to stop it banging about and vibrating on the bumper!! These in turn killed my mounts I was constantly laying under the car trying to find the best setup for the exhaust and cable ties proper did my head in then after all that...
Edde with regards to other previous posts regarding the fitment of non cup 182 and 172 shocks, i have dug out those part numbers that I said I got from renault after I tried to have some Koni shocks for the 172 fitted to my non cup 182....
As written down by renault technician;
182
non...
If Steve_evo had damaged anything like as said above and if he got the car laser tracked would it still line up properly on the computer or still go undetected?
Maz are you keeping your 3rd system for now? Waiting for it to go wrong again before you buy something else??
Rob.
P.S In those pictures Maz is that how it sits normally on your mounts? Cable ties?? If I look at your pics, bring both pipes out further and then the left about
1.5cm even...
I like most is having greef with my magnex! I phoned them recently to let them know my concerns wich is the left pipe sits out further then the right they are looking to send me another one but only after they have looked into this on going complaint. Apparently they have had so many returns...
Edde hi,
They did right down both the part numbers for hubs and shocks and on there screen it did show 172 and non cup 182 had the same part numbers 1 for shocks and another for hubs. And the same story for the 172/182 cup!!
Maybe they did get it wrong I know what some people can be like at...
I have a NON cupped 182 and have tried twice by two different company's to have the 172 Koni shocks fitted to my car and both times they have shown me and told me that these shocks dont fit!! And that I need shocks specifically for the 182!!!.... I am still well confused and am not sure what the...
I am only talking about a few short blasts off say like something from the steam bee!! never used any sort of steam machine before so not sure how it comes out the nozzle, I imagine with a cheap hand held steam machine it wouldnt be that powerful anyway just enough to lose the pre treated dirt??
Ive read a few posts about cleaning your engine which is something ive been looking at doing. The sound of Autogleam machine cleaner sounds ok but as far as rinsing in those tight spaces ive been thinking about buying a cheap steam cleaner!
They sell one in halfords for £20 and a few on ebay...
