    BMC Airbox

Ive just been on the blower to BMC about the carbon airbox and it seems there is now one that is designed specifically for the 172 which is 150mm diameter and 160mm long. That size will be perfect for my 16v but how big are the inlet and outlet flanges? Are they 85mm or 70mm? Anyone know?

    Measurements required F7P throttle body

Anyone here got an F7P lump or inlet manifold sitting around in the shed? I need to get a measurement for the circumference of the throttle body, the egg shaped bit where the airbox bolts onto. And its too wet to go out and take it all apart at the moment? So if you can get a bit of string...

    Wheel advice needed

OK not being a big wheel swapper, I need some advice on this. Thinking of putting 17s on but its gonna be tight and dont wanna strain the suspension more than it already is if I can help it. Now a 205/40/17 tyre will *just* fit I think, but the problem is the wheel width. I want it to be bang...

    The lowdown on Piper Cams

Thought Id post this here as Ive been doing a bit of research on this (for the Clio 16v): The standard Piper fast road cams are called 270s cos they have roughly a 270 degree duration (give 12bhp, power band 1800-6800 rpm). The deal is they are exchange and are reprofiled from standard 16v...

    Exhaust flames

Ive been thinking about getting exhaust flames going next time I go 1/4 miling. The question is: are they wicked? Or just cheesy in a 50s Grease sort of way? Anyway check out these hillbillies videoing a flaming car http://www.hotrodsetc.net/broggymoving.mpg
