I'm currently using that as my feed (vacuum) to the brake servo.. what does this control valve look like? and how does it work?
thanks for your help with this
it's just really rough, I'm running a standalone emerald setup.. I just can't seem to get an idle.. I think I just need to play around with figures a little more as I didn't really have any base values
hi there, I've fitted a ph1 throttle body to my ph2 as it sits in a kit car, the body is actually fitted upside down for space reasons..
does anyone know what the pipe does and where it goes as I've actually taken it off and blanked it, but I have a feeling it maybe essential for idle?
can...
Could anyone tell me which is the feed the pink wire or the green.. many thanks as I'm wiring it up to a standalone ECU.. and to double check the turn on point is 1800rpm
any help appreciated
thanks.. it's normally on the bottom of the throttle body.. (on a phase 1) probably not normally in view..
With no.2 if that's the brake servo what is this one for (which I've plumbed to the brake servo.. have I done this by mistake  ?
Hi there, I'm running or should I say planning on running an Emerald ECU on a relativity standard 172 engine. It's actually a phase 2 engine with a phase 1 throttle body with a considerable shorter exhaust (see picture below).
I bought my ECU from ebay  last year and when I finally...
Does anyone know where I can buy it with the pins or what to ask for at Renault as they're usually funny if I'm either not precise or have the chassis number
Also I'm wiring up the alternator and can only work out there is only two wires positive (to battery/starter) and a small two pin plug...
excellent, although I've just found a local supplier that has a 350kg sealy stand he said will be in stock before the weekend for £34 ..bargin :)
thanks for the responses
Just about to get an engine stand to make changing my sump a little easier and saw one from machine mart rated at 220kg, there's a sealey one for 350kg but it's the difference of being able to collect one on the way home from work or not :)
Just found out today that the engine I bought has a bodged repair and it's leaking like a good'un.. bringing my project to a halt :( ...Is the sump the same as any other renault? or do I have to go in search of a clio ph2 specific oil sump?
any help appreciated
Andrew
Apologies for this but I'm new to the clio engine, would it be possible for someone to list what each of these sensors are.. and if you have any addition info like colour of wire size etc I would be most appreciative
many thanks
Andrew
yes :)
I have a few more pics of the original conversion on my site.. www.gomodit.co.uk I decided to go for the 172 for a bit of economy, reliablity and a just a change.
does anyone have a picture of a phase 1 and 2 fuel rail.. I think the phase 1 has a regaulator where as a phase 2 does not.. but I'm confused slightly as on mine (phase2) it looks like it has some kind of regualtor on it..
any help apreciated
how do I know if it's a 730 or 830? I know it's a phase two engine..
Also does anyone running Emerald have a base map for the 172 I could start with?
Any help appreciated
Andrew
