hi, i need to insure my williams for about a month or something, basically its just to get a insurance certificate to be able to get it taxed. anyone any ideas the cheapest/best way to do this? if i take out a full policy say, can i cancel within 14 days or somethin and would they have sent me...

ive also got a question about sky...as a new customer is it possible for me to have sky hd without it being connected to a phone line? reason being there is only 1 socket in my flat and its nowhere near where the box would go and im not surface running any cables due to spending alot of time...

id go for the xps, i got the 1330 with core 2 duo 2.1, 3 gig ram, 320 hard drive, theyve also got an hdmi output for watchin s**t on your tv which is nice, comes with some gimmicks too like a fingerprint reader and express slot remote control. totally love it and would defo recommend it :)

another bit of advice, dont feel the need to have to buy a pioneer mixer, had the 600 for a few years then swapped it for an eccler nuo 5 which is an amazing bit of kit for the same money, better build quality, sound quality etc etc

i would take a 400 over an 800 any day of the week and i own 800's. 1000's are just not worth the money at all in my eyes. if its scratchin you want to do go for the 800's, if not 400's all the way :)

i used newsgroups for a few months as i was gettin throttled by my isp, back onto torrents now. i personally think torrents are better, there is far more choice than newsgroups and its free..

either that just uninstall bit torrent and it should automatically open utorrent ps: i take it youve got the relevant ports opened on your router?

change to utorrent to see if it helps,sounds like your gettin traffic shaped tho if it wont go above 25k with any torrent, had the same with pipex, couldnt get above 20k on torrents, that was until i seen the light and moved to newnet, get a constant 860k with most of my torrents now, happy days :)

pipex is the worst isp on the planet by a country mile, worse than aol!

newnet, absolutely brilliant service! 1 month contract, straight thru to a tech support agent, no waiting etc, no traffic shaping or throttling whatsoever 21/month

i put up with heavy traffic shaping with pipex for a year, youve no idea how good it is to now be with an isp which doesnt traffic shape/throttle in anyway newnet all the way :)

i had a similar prob a few weeks ago, upload was fine download was shocking, it ended up being my wireless usb stick, got a new one, this time the same make as my router now its flying again

most isps in the uk are just a compete joke, i went with newnet due to them not traffic shaping etc but i am having severe speed problems as mentioned in the other slow broadband thread, as its only 1 month min contract if its not sorted within 2 weeks im off! theyre customer support is pretty...

im on upto 8 meg with newnet (meant to be one of the best isp;s out there) my line can get 5.5 meg, the above test shows this: Download Speed: 147 kbps (18.4 KB/sec ) Upload Speed: 381 kbps (47.6 KB/sec ) unbelievable!
