Changing ISP

I am looking to change as my current one is allways slow in the evenings and is s**t slow. What i am wondering is how long will i be without broadband for when changing provider? I need internet access for work, would dial up be a resonable temp while changing provider? How do i go about getting dial up these days?

Oh im changing from tesco to sky max

Cheers

just phone your provider and ask for your MAC code, give it to who u want to change to and there will only be about 2 hours downtime if that

Provided there's no problems with the MAC code and everything goes according to plan you'll probably find you're without a net connection for a few minutes if that.

Getting a MAC code can be a pain in the arse. Often your current ISP will give you an incorrect MAC code just too slow the whole process down and make your new ISP look shite. Its a pain in the arse.

Not heard of that before as this leaves the ISP open for a good spanking from Ofcom or even otelo!!!!.

The only issue is if the MAC code expires (30 days).
