I quite fancy changing my MK1 172s 15" F1 Cups for some 16" F1 Cups and 45 profile tyres instead of 50s. Thatll mean the speedo is only put 1% out, which is fine.
I second Flying Scotsmans comments. Ive moving in to a house with a small suspension specialist centre opposite me. I think theyll be able to fit any parts.
Im going the springs / camber bolts / and 3mm spacers route myself. Cheap, cheerful and should do the trick. Would go for JJ172s package, but it involves too much travelling as Id have to go down south to have it fitted.

Ian - as paddy says, or some lowering springs and the camber bolts for £40 from k-tech racing. Maybe some spaces (and new studs of course!) to replicate the Cups track.
See JJ172s "172 handling transformed" thread on Exterior, Power... forum.

mk1 172 - early models have lightweight ally bonnet. Longer gearing that the mk2 models. Later mk1s dont have a functioning gear change light. Weigh about 1035kg
mk2 172 - Loads of toys like auto wipers, xenon lights, later models have traction control. Weigh about 1110kg. Shorter gearing to...
I think the automatic locking function is only for if you accidentally click the plipper twice, locking it and unlocking it. If the car is then not opened for 30 seconds itll relock. I dont know if this arms the alarm or no. Similarly if you unlock the car but dont open it, it will lock after 30...
I know, but its a really different product to a bank loan. Finance companies really have you by the short and curlies. You arent even legally allowed to modify your car in any way under most finance agreements. Something else that is probably worth bearing in mind.
Try asking your own bank for...
Id recommend a bank loan rather than finance. Its very difficult to get out of finance and its secured on the car. The finance company own the car, and if you get into difficulties, you cant sell the car as it wont clear an HPi check. A bank loan is unsecured, and you would own the car, rather...
and extra 3 people in the car could mean around 225kg extra weight. If 89kg off the std weight is meant to make the Cup so much quicker, its hardly suprising that 225kg if going to make it a feck of a lot slower!
Seeing as for a short time I had both Williams and 172 MK1 at the same time (and a 172 MK2 until Nov. last year), Id say Im fairly well qualified on this one.
Williams - simply stunning around corners. Never driven a car like it for handling prowess. Engine from a tractor, but I can forgive it...
Cuppy, you can put mesh in the MK2 without even removing the standard grill. Cut a piece of mesh to size, use 2 small cable ties to fix it to the grille. Dead easy.
Why would they have been identical? It depends on the source of the picture that is being used over the main image. The right hand exhaust also looks squished.
lol, Girlracer, I can see the indentations! They are the bits that look photoshopped! The right hand pipe (esp. in your blow up pic) is dead wonky. Thats def. photoshopped.
If this is the picture of the supposed "180" version of the 172, then the exhausts look photoshopped to me...

Dont know yet Tiger. Weve got a 172 as well, so I might just pitch in to running that. Maybe Ill get a Valver. Not sure though. Insurance group 17 with only 3 years NCD and a claim will be way too high I think.
