I get this sticking when the weather is damp or the car has been sitting for a couple of days when it has been wet or the car hosed down, so I have alsways assumed it to be the damp making the discs rust and then after being driven and braked a few times it probably gets rubbed away!

I agree with you and have said it before, a standard 172 just sounds like an ordinary Clio! My previous Pug 306 Rallye and my S16 sounded far sportier than my Clio! It sounds much better with my new Magnex, without being over the top.
