I have only just noticed your message. I used to live at Davenham ages ago and I worked at the Bulls Head when it was a very busy well run place and the Barkers owned it and the food was yummy and the beer pipes were cleaned every Tuesday morning! After the Bull we went to the Bells of Peover and turned that into the thriving place it once was before managers had run it down and it became full of wealthy Man Utd footballers, managers, Granada TV folk and there were Rolls Royces, Porsches, Ferraris etc parked outside and Richard and Judy used to always come for Sunday lunch - he was nice but she was snobby!
The Bull went downhill when Greenhalls put a manager in it and they mostly just dont bother the same, so people left in their droves! I heard recently from friends still there that it is just the same! I hope you have made loads of friends by now as it is a very friendly area. Which pub do you use?
