Really annoying me this now,daft things delaying the job all the time
i should have know it wasnt going to end well since the keys been stuck in previously before i started trying to get it out the column
Subframe off completely now,rack and pas pipes/pump all off all thats is left is the exhaust-the bolts pissed me off so i give up for the day,drivers seat (so i can get it.to.get the column out) and the column
Looking forward to.starting the.rebuild
all in all theres alot of weight...
Im on doing it now in my project thread, You need 2 brackets if i remember from the renault 5 to mount the alt (1 is a slider tensioner) and a shorter belt
Iv got the 13mm nut off but the bolt is being a pain,is there a way to get it out ?
the racks still attactched to the subframe as neither will be be going back on so making removal easier (epas/cup subframe)
Got the dash out and the columns ready to remove
set away removing the aux set up and have had a few shite bolt related issues but progress is being made slowly
Its still got its undertray which suprised me and found the renault service sheets
tomorrow il get the rest of the aux set...
So torque is the force needed to turn engine drivetrain etc ?
With that in mind wouldnt rolling road figures be a noticeable amount up/down with say a set of 15inch ultraleggeras and say ph2 172 wheels on a 172

Theres a "172 cup with extras" on gumtree atm thats a good laugh
extras being non cup parts like s**t 172 wheels and standard spoiler
it may have also been remapped to over 200bhp which is nice in theory lol

Lets hope the subframe comes off easier than the cup donor-il leave it overnight with a bit spray oil before i attempt it
It it stops turning after 3secnds its a coms problem between the uch and ecu but if it keeps turning then id look at tdc 1st
Not sure it would bring up.the eml tho
Have you checked the comnections on that white block (uch) and the other end of it in the passenger footweel
its a communication problem uch aint signalling the fuel pump so its semi immobilised
You cant just loose that amount n it not leave a trace,if its leaking externally youshould see it n internally id expect to see blue smoke under load
Also check plugs to see if any look more carbon,d up than other
Finally got the cup completely stripped and the shell out the garage
1st i need to do a bit cleaning since he gearbox oil pi55ed itself
work shall commence on saturday get it on axle stands and set about removing a few bits

Early ph1 172s had its then it was removed then added go ph2s
my ph1 doesnt have it but i would like it
what was actually removed was it the clocks just dont have the light or ecu/wiring changes
Reason i ask is i have a set of clocks from a ph2 and my ph1 clocks need to be removed...
