i had the opposite problem yesterday on my ph2-it was the torq bit the twanged for me (luckily a halford lifetime joby) so iv opted the let a exhaust place supply n fit a new mount
right now baby settled i can think about getting to work soon,they do sleep alot lol
finalised the mods andneverything is onroute bar the cams which are beyond my diy skills

cams at belt time isnt that pricey tbf the belt changee is half the battle
and max bhp figures dont really mean alot for drivability and how fast it actually is
only issue you could have is a ph1 has a different throttle body/uch/ecu so im not sure if the loom would be different or not - someone else will be able to confirm this
a ph2 172/182 lump is the same tho

found a modded 172 centre section/182 decat
so that should slot on the ebay back box or even the standard back box i have as a temp measure until i get the rest sorted
if nothing else i can now create a working system to get it to powerflow etc at some point

the link pipe from ktec is 120 shipped,id need the cat link to for mot so double it
i also need a decent catback (my custom is a no go on this its only silencer is in the centre section which the link would remove)
im now thinking go custom from the mani back and...

i quite liked how tall the gearing felt on the ph1
to be honest id considered the swap but opted to keep ph1 box in for the above-now you got me pondering lol
just ordered a 182 mani n decat
iv discovered my spare cup lump has rs stamped inlets so might be worth using them instead of having the ph1s matched depending how good of a match my ph1 top is to the rs lower
injectors are 40k younger too
part wise now i need a pms ac delete kit, a catback...
