In this weeks best handling car test the new V6 is "quicker than the 206 Gti 180, just" yet a few weeks ago I think it was Autocar that had the Cup against the 206 180 and the Cup blew it away. They said if the 206 has 180bhp then Renault must ahve sneaked 200 into the Cup or something.

As a rookie I doubt you will wear your tyres enough to need to replace them even if you are pushing it.
On the France trip last year my tyres were seriously melted after the track day, I had marbles flying off them all the way back to England I think but I didnt even replace them...
My old one was on 68k or something when I sold it nearly a year ago. Only thing I had to replace was a rear shock just before selling it. And brake pads and tyres when worn out.
Its a matter of opinion and preference really though Black Fox. Pretenders car was on the short list but it got pipped at the post

What do you mean rob? K-tec are selling the kit. They are a Vat registered company so unless they want to do a pound notes in the back pocket deal then they have to charge Vat :confused:
Springs and shocks come with their own warranty ;)
If you are changing springs only though there is a chance, being stiffer, that they can take out the standard shocks which then obviously wouldnt be covered if they knew about the after market springs.
Something to consider
There is always a level of grip but if you have abs you can always put your foot on the floor and get the abs to come on, if you dont have abs you can always put your foot on the floor and lock up. Braking distance is limited by tyre grip, bigger brakes wont change that.
