I really like that. I’ve not seen lambo doors for years! Takes me back to buying Max Power as a teen. There’s something great about this sort of modifying. It’s not something I’d own but the amount of graft that goes Into a build like this is pretty amazing. Looking forward to future updates.

I’ve also picked up a set of these from Ian @ MrPinkPins. Should hopefully mean I’ll never have to deal with stuck pins on the brembos.

That’s a cracking idea. I might have to look into doing that. There’s a local guy near me that does paint protection film. It does seem to be a bit of a common place for rust to start when they two panels rub.

Genuinely the worst design going. Trying to source (rear) genuine sensors is a ticket to having your pants pulled down. Only Ktec had them in stock when I was after a pair a few months ago. Roughly £90 each IIRC.

Why Renault used torx heads for these is anyones guess. Spent ages trying to remove them when sorting my rear beam, so I feel your pain haha.

Cheers, that’s a big help (y) I never thought to put the bolt in from the rear but it makes more sense to keep it flush/secured.

Good work on this, it lookS far cleaner! On this pic, the fixing for the ecu brace looks like a small torx bolt that goes through the rear. Mine has a big (M6?) bolt through the front and it doesn’t sit well. Is this is how they came from the factory? If so then it explains why mine looks like...

Glad you sorted it mate. Keep an eye on it but you should be ok now. I had to re seal my heater box a couple of times but it’s been ok since.

It’s a standard Garrett GT1749v from a PD130 Bora. Happy for it to be fettled with as the car is going in for a remap etc once fitted.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get a turbo rebuilt/refurbed in the UK? Plenty of places seem to be decent but I’ve read the horror stories with badly refurbed units and cheap Chinese internals…

Around £40/£50 a wheel seems to be the going rate locally for me.

There must have been a local Porsche run as these were around the local town last Sunday. Nice to see an early 996 GT3 too.

I used Pentland Powder Coating earlier this year for a couple of bits and couldn’t fault them. Never had my wheels done by them though, but I’d use them again.

Cheers folks. I can’t find moisture anywhere so I’ll get the AC gassed, double check the pollen filter and get one of those silica bag things. It’s only at night tbh when the temp drops. Never seems to steam up when driving.
