no u cant take the imobilser off your car because its all in your ecu me and clean16v had this problem when we swapped ecu and to cut a long story short had to buy another ecu with out the emob on it because my car had armed his ecu with an imob which he never had 1 on in the 1st place!!!so yeah...

yeah it work through the ecu i think,me n clean16v had problems when we swapped ecus basicly your em sends a code to your ecu and it tells your ecu not to start even though u can still turn it over why u having problems with yours quite often?
