    Kenwood vs Pioneer

I dont believe I have, is it good? I suppose my experience with Blaupunkt has really only been pre-99, so their recent ranges could be fantastic for all I know!

    Kenwood vs Pioneer

I would also have to say Kenwood beats Pioneer. I agree almost entirely with Lukes list of recommended brands, but I must admit that I dont rate Blaupunkt. Alright as a factory fit jobbie on a Merc or VW, but I dont think it competes with the likes of Nakamichi, Kenwood, Rockford Fosgate, etc...

    Sebring exaust

Ive heard good things about the Sebring. Its supposed to be incredibly well-made, and is more performance orientated than noise orientated. Its certainly rare!

    Sub boxs

Oh yeah, another thing... since its being sold complete with box, it might be fitted with the basket in the way, as they tend to use generic boxes in mail order companies. Worth asking at any rate, as Audiobahn do make custom enclosures for basket-out sub-mounting, and if its one of these, £110...

    Sub boxs

The model they have in the Mobile World ad is probably the AW1051X. Its not top of the range for Audiobahn, but at the price its an excellent sub. Amp-wise, the Alpine V-series is a good amp: excellent circuitry, efficient cooling and nice design, however I think to go with a competition spec...

    Sub boxs

If you want an arse-out sub, theres only one choice in my opinion (and they dont call me the ICEman for nothing!!)... Audiobahn. They look the dogs in mirrored/chrome effect and they have huuuuge magnets. Dont even get me started on the sound quality and power of these babies!!

    2001> 172 owners please help!

The rolling radius of 16s on 45 profile is 2.4% greater than 17s on 40 profile. Therefore your performance will be reduced by this percentage. Depending on your current 0-60, and what other mods you have, this could mean about 0.25 sec assuming yours is about the 10 mark?

Cheers. How do you fit the new gearknob after you got the old one off? I take it it doesnt have threads for screwing one on?

    Gearknobs: How the...

hell do you get them off a 2001 Clio to fit a replacement?? Ive seen cars like mine with aftermarket knobs fitted, but Ive been trying for months and its stuck fast! Im scared to use a heavy mechanical device of any nature to shift it cos the whole damn gearknobs pretty flimsy! Anyone had any...

    399 Pounds to fit springs.

I thought the prices for the 98- on spring kits were high for only two springs! But I dont understand... when did they ditch them? Must have been after April 2001 cos mine deffo has torsion bar. It says that in the spec sheet for my car. (Admittedly I havent actually looked under my car yet to...

    399 Pounds to fit springs.

Im no expert, but Id say they do look like torsion bars as well, and I cant see any springs! This is really puzzling me actually, cos the spring set Fred bought from Motech is meant to fit all 1.2/1.4/1.6 Clios 98 on, yet it obviously came with 4 springs.

    399 Pounds to fit springs.

Nup, mines 2001 and it has semi-independent; trailing arms linked by a torsion beam, anti-roll bar according to the spec sheet!

    399 Pounds to fit springs.

Hang on... did you just say there are rear springs in your Dynamique? I thought Clios have always had torsion beams at the back? They must have completely revised the whole suspension set-up when they launched Mk2 Ph2 in June 2001. In that case, I cant get the spring set you were talking...

    Lowering a 2001 16v Sport

Does anyone know what kind of springs I would need to lower my 2001 Clio 1.2 16v Sport? In every advert Ive seen, they have three different springs for the 8v 1.2-1.4 cars, 1.6 16v and 172, but I dont know which of these is right for my 1.2 16v. Ive found similar problems with exhausts... theres...
