Ive got the black K-Tec ones as well and they are excellent quality. Its a full light unit, noy just a cover like the BB/Carisma ones, and its all nicely sealed and finished. I love the way they look on the black car, its improved the rear end look 10 times over. Expensive I agree, but well...
Its not the same amount for everyone, they backdate NCD to when you were 17. So if you took out free insurance when you were 19 (miminum age for it) then when you renew they give you three, then four when you leave. Bu tif you were 21 when you took it out, you would get full NCD when you leave...
Its difficult to say what difference induction kits make in terms of overall power gains. What they will do is redistribute power through the revs. An ECU remap and a larger bore exhaust system together with an induction kit should give you a few more BHP at higher revs, but the low-end torque...
Ive got a Ground Zero amp, its sweet. Loud (under-rated like top end stuff), and sounds very nice. Lotsa features too. Russ (evilice) sells the whole range, hell get you good prices on it.
Age: 21
Car: 1.2 16V
NCD: 1 year
1 claim, no convictions
Suburban area, driveway o/night
Cost £585 fully comp. with £250 excess
Insurer: Churchill
(this was my cheapest quote, though I ended up insuring with More Than for £640 cos they werent bothered about mods)
Well on mine its a bit out. Although mine had 14s as standard. The rolling radius is a few per cent bigger, and it does show. Speedo appears to be roughly 10% too slow, so I have to slow down to 45mph for cameras in 50 zones, 27mph in 30 zones, etc.!
I honestly believe the 1.6 RSI would give a VTS a reasonable run for its money up to 100mph. Maybe not Ralphs cos his seems particularly fast, but a standard one. Ive driven one as a courtesy car and I was astonished at how fast it was in terms of midrange pull. Im not saying its fastER than a...
I would do the second option, cos otherwise your subs will not be getting nearly enough power. You ned to feed the subs more than the speakers or you wont hear enough bass in the mix.
I dont think anyone does! Ive been looking for months now. Best option is to get a custom one made up, but you have to watch as there are issues with the lambda (fuelling) sensors on and after the cat. Basically if you just disconnect the sensors the engine management dash light will go on, and...
However, I wouldnt cancel my booking if I were you! Think of the hundreds and hundreds of people who are driving around every city with tints on their car. There is no way the police are going to book anyone for light or even medium smoke tints. But this is a matter of enforcement policy rather...
I promise you ANY Magma/Pentagon/any other company tint on the front side windows of a Clio is 100% illegal!!! Check the above link to the legislation and see for yourself. It was also on the news yesterday that theyre starting to clamp down. The regulation is that 70% transmission must be...
There was one recent prosecution based on the evidence of a light meter reading. It was against a Range Rover owner who had ordered factory tints or privacy glass as theyre referred to in the Land Rover options sheet. Theyre 25% tints all round, and the person got a fine for non road worthiness...
I used to have this. I bought lights form a Mk2 Ph2 and masked out the silver centre, then blacked out the rest of the light with a lot of coats of black tint spray then lacquered it for a shiny finish. Looked good, but Ive taken them off again cos the brakelight was far too dim, and Im going...
No Malice is right. Up to 75% transmission is allowed, but the problem is that all standard glass on Clios comes already tinted to exactly on this limit, including the windscreen, so you cant go any further or itd be illegal. But some cars, eg. Corsa A, have completely clear glass all round, and...
afaik, the only crossover on the standard components is a passive in-line crossover before the tweeters. The woofers just get fed the full frequency range.
Nicky, Im interested in your joining front and rear wiring technique, but Im not sure what you mean. When you say you used the rear wires to run the source to the front of the car what do you mean? And where did you join the front and rear wires together?
Cheers.
By the way, Extreme Kennedy...
Captain_clio seems to make something of a habit of sl*gging off other peoples stuff, with totally negative and pointless remarks like that should be binned, or that looks like an atrocity, etc., whether it be spoilers, bodykits, or whatever. I wonder what hes done to his own car that makes it so...
Fro one thing they do the rear window on the new Clios in one piece! Even Pentagon dont do this. Also, the tints are just always consistently excellent quality. And they look charcoal rather than bluey or greeny like most others.
My connection is slow so Im not gonna look at the video, but am I right in thinking youve just posted footage of someone ragging the sh*t out of the car hes just bought??? Thats just plain evil!!:o
has anyone ever seen/heard of this:

How very weird! Its on the UK section of the Renault site as well!
Aly, was it AC you got your car from? Cos I had exactly same problem when I bought mine new. 6 months tax was all the cheap f**ks gave me, despite the quoted prices being inclusive of 12 months road fund licence, whatever that means! I never took it any further, but I wish now I had. I hope you...
