I will be getting my 40mm lowering springs tonight and am going to have it lowered tomorrow so I went to this garage I know to check if they were free. Then this garage bloke said I would need new shocks for the lowering springs to be fitted...

Nice, the vts is a fast car indeed. My friend used to own one(owns a 172 now) and it was darn fast but had to be repaired a bit to often.
On the other hand the 172 he has is in the dealers every other week so vts and the 172 are the same quality to him.

The thing is I dont want 17s, just wider tires on 16s but if its rubing time then I dont know. The arch looked like it could take a lot wider than standard.
Im thinking of buying a set of 16X7.5 OZ Superturismo and 215/40 Toyo Proxes under my 172 which I can get for a resonable price. The only thing Im worried about is whether the wheels are too wide with ET37 offset

Well I removed my Viper which had no hose at the end and put the original airbox back on and the car has definetely less torque on low revs. Havent compared it flat out but plan on doing it next Friday at the drag strip.
:oops:He he, the cause has been found. It seems that the hose I used at the end of the viper wasnt good enough, it collapsed at full trottle so the engine couldnt get enough air.
Now that Ive removed it the clio works like a charm. Its easy to be wise afterwards:p

My dad has a Dodge Ram with V8 360 engine +RWD and it is so much fun to slide it. Used to have a E39 bimmer and man did I slide it, nearly killed my self in one of my crazy runs.
Well I finally finished the job and installed the viper properly. On Monday night I removed the "mistery valve" and now I finished laying the intake.
I found a pretty good way to remove the mistery valve in my oppionion and it was to remove it from below. Dont know if anyone else has done it...
I know I can get below 15 cause I got into wheelspin on my best times and can probably shift faster.
Im not sure about the viper since I havent installed it properly but it sounds better than standard and feels quicker than my old k&n.
