Just had my ignition coils replaced at Renault London West and guess what they have in the showroom for any willing buyer, yep, another 172 Cup - must have sold the last one.
So if anyone wants one without the wait its all yours - unless someone beats you to it.
Okay, I know this has been done to dead but I now know some of you have these fitted so Im asking which one you bought, how much, how easy you found em to fit and what you think of them.
What kind of information get displayed?
Do you have a seperate changer and do you get information off...
Just been to Renault London West with my car on the back of a trailer but I noticed they have a 172 Cup in the showroom and as you were interested in seeing one then you can go in anytime to see it.

Well, as many of you might know my car died at 2,500 miles in France with fueling/engine management problems and the fix for this was to remove the fuel injector and refit (same part). As you might wonder how this has cured the problem my car has just reached 5,000 miles (another 2,500 miles)...

Im about to buy an adapter for my sony head but not sure which one to get. Do they both do the same - inc with the output to remote display?
As I understand, you have to remove the dash to fit the Autoleads one but not when fitting the C2UK?
Anyone have any of these leads - comments...
As ive found out I cant fit my 10disc changer easily under the seat (dont fancy a boot install) Ive been looking at alternatives and found this. Its a 6 cd-changer so should be small enough to fit and it plays MP3 cds

Also, anyone know the best...
Just been looking at mine as I will be removing it to fit my sony now that I can get an adapter that suits my needs.
I noticed that there are more wires than I expected.
What are the 2 wires that disappear into the seat for? And the one that disappears into the ground?
Any suggestions...
I was wondering how easy it is to get a DVD player in the car. Need a screen but would prefer the pop-out head unit types.
What kind of cost is this going to be?
Thanks for any information.
Ok, I did something stoopid.
I left my CDs in the changer when I removed it from my old car. Now, any ideas on how I can power the unit so that I can eject the CDs ???
Thanks.
That you can be informed (paged/smsd or something) that you car is moving / being attacked? I know you can get tracker but thats quite expensive - i was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative. Any suggestions?
Is the standard immobiliser on the 172 any good? I was thinking of getting security windows fitted and maybe improving the security to prevent the car from being driven away or it stalling after 100 yards.
Anyone have any good suggestions, might go to pentagon for the windows and have them...
Just see this car at http://reichhard-motorsport.com and was wondering if anyone had any idea what something this would cost to get done?

I was told today by Renault that the changer in the 172 is being moved to under the drivers seat on new builds. Anyone else heard or can confirm this?
Also, they said that there should be no problem with fitting the changer to other alpine head units?
Thanks
Hello again, been a while since I visited as Ive been away (Amsterdam ) but im back and have seen the new groups - like it.
Anyway, I use minidiscs for everything and have used them in the car as I find them more durable than cds - especially changing whilst driving. Anyway, I am seeking...
