    The way I figure it is that a renault stamp on the 72k service may cost 266 quid... Youre likely to recover the 266 quid when you sell it anyways, with the fact that renault handled the job being a handy baragining tool.

    It was just a normal gatso...not a truvelo thank chuff. The other thing was it was 7am in the morning and about 2 other cars on the road...when I went passed it I must have been doing about 60mph max in a 50mph zone...not 110mph in rush hour. Speed limits are for jessies anyways.

    I reckon its the starter... it sounds like its not getting enough power. that could be either a lazy starter ( get it refurbed), a poor battery not able to hold its charge under heavy loading... or one of the earths on the starter not being very good.... It sounds like youve already ruled...

    I see, so the sound of the dead battery starting the car is just the click of the solenoid coming in and nothing happening, then u leave it for 5 mins try again and it works..... That does sound like the starter, sounds like the brushes as I described.... Get it refurbed and you should be sweet.
