Make no mistake... Im chuffed they are coming down in price so I can get my hands on one sooner...
At the same time though I cant help0 feeling that renault have stiffed the V6 owner with their pricing...
Just read this months EVO magazine with the end of term report on their V6 clio....
Jesus H!... it lost 9 grand in 18 months....he traded it in for 16k.
Now that has just put it in the Civic type r bracket...errr.... I think I know which one Id go for.
Any of the V6 owners crying into...
Get the covert surveillance under way and report back when youve got some quality vids of Valance in the pool/sauna.
I think Ill go for a cold shower....
I know valvers are pretty rapid...
I think the main difference between them and the williams in terms of on the road performance would only really be noticeable perhaps up hills or round the twisties...where the williams could use its torque and suspension set up to its advantage.
A blast...
I used autoglyms extra gloss protection on mine last weekend and left it on for about an hour before buffing...
Its only rained once this week in Manchester and mine got a good soaking... with the gloss protection stuff the water just f*cked off leaving me back to a sweet finish after a quick...
Pay no attention to Rob... hes just jealous that
a) our roads are still free to drive on and
b) theyre not so full that it makes driving anywhere the worlds biggest ball ache....:D
Would do Brun... Im in Blackpool on the 15th for a mates B-day... much filth will obviously ensue.
Im down JJB every Weds night playing footy, shame we cant do it during the week but then again it wouldnt be much good in the dark ina rammed car park....Ill shut up now
A fellow city fan and a renault sport fan... Ill deffo keep a look out for you...
My number plate is N565 ***... dont know why Im giving you that because if you see a Williams about our way Its gonna be me.
See you on the bypass soon enough.
1200 williams originally... take away all those that have been smashed to bits and Im betting there are no more than 8-900 left in the country...
Which is why I intend to keep mine in top nick... classic in the making.
2 months waiting for parts is a total complete and utter piss take...
If I was your mate I would have been down the garage kicking ass after about a week.
As for the extra damage.. let them fix it and take it on the chin what else can you do?
Launching is all about practice... its well hard to do properly but get it right and your laughing all the way to the next traffic lights
I get decent launches about 50% of tht time in the dry... in the wet no chance.
I find holding about 2500 revs then dumping the clutch and putting my foot...
Yeah, I was thinking about hayward and scott.... might give them a bell and see how much theyd want for a cat back systems modelled on the original.
I want it to sound just right for the car.. not get a ridiculously large bore diameter causing it to a) lose power and b) make it sound like its...
ANyone got a tailor made stainless exhaust... if so how much and from where.
Im thinking of getting my williams exhaust copied in stainless steel (with a little less silencing he heee), when mine needs a new one.
It went up because of a strike by oil workers in Venezuela aswell, they had been striking since before crimbo and only finished at the end of january, beleive it or not Venezuela is one of the 8 oil producing nations..
When the strike was on the petrol companies didnt pass on the price...
Same thing happens on mine, the rocker cover gasket leaks into two of the plug bores....
I wouldnt worry about it, the oil aint gonna do anything just means youll get a bit of smoke out of it for a minute when you take the plug out.. thus letting the oil dribble in.
Im not changing mine...
Ive only seen 2 williams in 3 years (other than my own)...
Come to think of it Ive seen only one valver in the past year too...
Theres no doubting though.. the williams are becoming like rocking horse poo... so are the GTTs for that matter
I normally do it every weekend, Im using Autoglym products at the mo... they are very good.
I polished it with the super resin polish about 3 weeks ago and then sealed it with the extra gloss protection, which works like a charm. Ive just been reapplying the extra gloss stuff recently and...
Know what you mean about the hardcore aspect of the Williams...
Mine had to go back to get a suspension spring replaced last week and they leant me a 1.2 clio Bebop as a courtesy car..
After driving it round for the day it was actually sort of a relief not to be bouncing over speed...
You reckon the 172s a better handling car than the Williams?
Ive not had a blast in either the 172 or Cup but I know my Williams goes round corners and wont let go for love or money... just wondering if the firmness of ride and balance are still in the newer breed?
