Fiats have a bad rep its not justified, if it had another badge on it, it would no doubt have sold more, ah well nevermind.
KeithO have you been on <a target="_blank" href="http://www.hondaforums.co.ukhonda forums I helped a mate get started with it, quite a few CTR owners on there nice forum...
of course I mean there would be heat soak if it didnt circulate the water, when functioning normal the thing is bloody cold quite a contrast to the engine next to it.
Indeed Capt but it does depends on location mine is right next to the engine (basically only place it would fit) heat soak from the engine mean that at idle the water would end up boiling as the jacket rather than cooling will act as a nice hot radiator. with more under bonnet space youll be...
I asked quite a few questions about the V6 when I was getting the Cup as that is a much more interesting car to me but the salesman actually put me off and basically said wait till the Mk2 comes out in a couple of months they have sorted it and given it more power (270bhp I think was mentioned)...
First car was a 1.0 Metro which had five bullet holes in the roof (managed to get it really cheap ) it was pretty good fun considering it was such a crap car really, crashed it a few times though
next was a 1.3 Astra, looked standard apart from bigger alloys but was modded to 105bhp spent...

Also I doubt there is any collusion going on, you have to remember that reviews are just someones opinion and when you have two good cars like that the reviewers own bias on what he/she wants from a car comes out, I test drove the Cooper S and the Cup on the same day and thought it was tough to...
So it goes, ultimately though you cant argue with the fact that the Cup and 172 are running the same gear and the Cup is lighter, the lighter car will always be quicker, either it wasnt running right or the test driver was bollox
Cheers
Chargecoolers arent much of a problem, I have had one on my Coupe for about a year managed to pick it up secondhand with an uprated intercooler and pump etc for £400 baragin if you ask me, needs no more maintenance than to check if you have water and its working, which you do whilst doing your...

grow up Capt theres no need for that nothing wrong with the Fiat and certainly nothing about a Renault that suggests its a cut above a Fiat, especially reading this forum how many new engines and gearboxes and problems etc. are talked about on here cars that arent even a couple of years old.

My first reaction was oh Ill miss the ABS but when I actually thought about it the only time I actually needed ABS was when I was driving crap cars a 1.0 Saxo and a 1.0 Punto as loaners when I was in for a service, where a mixture of muddy country lanes to and from work, skinny tyres and brakes...

I have to say I am giving up my Coupe grudgingly, it is a fantastic car especially mine being the Limited Edition and modded, but my current situation dictates that I need a cheaper car to run, I should be going for a diesel as I would be doing 1k miles a week some weeks or look at running two...

Its all about what your after, and if you want to be consumed by the whole experience you need to go back to basics which is where the Renault Cup is trying to go, personally I think they could have cut out the Leccy windows too and disregarded the rear bench entirely and give me a roll cage...

ghosting is not a problem, and font isnt too much of a problem provided it is still clear and satisfies the spacing and size regs, GT Grafix will do plates as you like but will only say the are for show use, they did mine for me, had them on the car for a year no probs whatsoever from the police...
