Those figures from parkers are a bit conservative, they are the figures from the Fiat brochure which are based on two people plus luggage, I have many car tests of all the Coupe models which better those figures, Ill put them on the web later if anyones inetrested.
Cheers
Your friend is correct the 2.0 16v Turbo is the Integrale unit and can be tuned very well, they are very good cars, I own the later 20v Turbo at the moment both cars are easily tunable to approx 280-300bhp without changing engine internals or even the turbo, just need a catless big bore exhaust...
Just go for a recirc valve youll have no probs, as someone mentioned the standard bosch plastic valves as fitted to Ford, Fiat, Audi, saab etc. do break down over time.

Pretty close to it, live in Bristol and work in Corsham which is even closer to it, its my local track good fun there, wish I could afford to drive on there more regularly.
Hi Tony, cheers for that, the guy who recommeded the 1177 to me seemed to think the would do the business on a Coupe, he did a lot of track days as I do, but a Scooby is probably similar car in terms of weight, power and braking ability etc. I dont agree that fade is just down to fluid, simply...

first thing he could look at checking I guess are that his calipers are actually working right, they can get gunked up and so when you release the brake the pads are still experiencing friction against the disc, this would keep temps pretty high and of course when you need to brake the temps...

I knew I read it somewhere, probably on my brochures not in a magazine, not a bad figure to start with is it really, especially when most of the figures I have seen for the standard 172 from Renault tend to get bettered in mag testing I can only imagine the Cup to do the same. It mixes quite...
Couldnt say for sure, one of my mags reckon 14.something for the Cup but I havent got it too hand.
This site is not bad for figures if you are in to that sort of thinsg

Itll be a good 6 to 12 months before I could even consider it, have to find a house first but definately interested in it, I have never left a car standard ever, I am a power junkie
God look what youve started, I am supposed to be saving money
Cheers
I am not adverse to throwing money at cars, or using my motor as a development vehicle, if there is not a turbo/supercharger upgrade available when the time comes Ill build my own, so get on with it and save me the hassle
Seriously though the mod you guys are working on sounds just the...

Dont worry mate, I understand why you are buying it, I can live with out all those things, I currently have a car that has the looks, the performance, good handling all the creature comforts, Including Recaro leather etc. etc. does 0-60 in a shade under 6 a 1/4 mile just over 13 secs, 285bhp and...

Cheers for the comments Jon and you other guys, I know the Renault is not in the same league with respect to looks and performance of the Coupe, and I dont really want to get rid of my LE but having owned a Coupe yourself youll know what they are like on the juice and maintenance etc, especially...

Yep I had a feeling it wouldnt get the 45 ish that the government fuel figures suggest still a lot better than my tuned Coupe with its 24mpg average and almost 30 on a run, almost £500 a month in fuel which ideally I would like to reduce but still want a car thats enjoyable, driving is a bit of...
I am currently in the market for a cheaper car to run than my current beasty which is to be sold soon.
I have been looking at a fair few diesels due to the sort of mileage I would be covering but to be honest I could happily afford a car that would do about 40-45mpg on the motorway so have...
