oh and the big three are, the -ive terminal to the chassis, +ive to alternator, and the alternators ground
ok, cap dont work in 90% of ocasions. more often than not they slow the system down, due in a long beat they run out of charge and start drawing on the battery to recharge, taking power away from the amps
il post the maths of this later if anyone wants to work through it.
batcaps are very...

yer sorry was meant to be cm!
as for the box, quite a good shape! im thinking of doing my boot build with plenty of fg still but i need more sapce in my boot, as there is none!
i may build it in the space tyre (where the tools usually are), hum, sorry getting of topic!
Looking great there!
the amount of layers depends on the weight of matting your using, but it should be about 1cm - 1.5mm.
Once its strong enough ie over 1cm all over, you will be able to stand on it without doing any damage!
You could sandwhich corematt...
if they are decent RCA cables, and you are picking up noise, the chances are its bad earthing
If you think about the internals of an amp - the rca cables and power cables are right together all over the shop! and not gaurded.
yes it is possible to pick up interference(sp) but its unlikly...

to be honest, i owuld say that you wont need a roll on the boot lid, just enough to cover it with one later, and then fill (enough to fill when dry) with expanding foam, be carefull not to use too much esp near boot mechanism. This will brace and deaden - its what i did and im very pleased.

there is a few on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7964795349&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IThttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7964795349&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
hum, 3 or 4? that would surprise me, but could well be, but its defo better than 2, plus the most important thing for me here - its thinner that 2 layers, so it can easily go under trim without a problem.
just dont cut yourslef on the nice sharp edges!!
for any squeeks, i usually use draft excluder, if you remove the door card, apply dynamat to the door skin, then run a load of draft excluder to the door card, this will stop squeeks and rattles of plastic against metal. you can do the same in all the plastic trim around the car.
as for the...
do you know whos that is? as im thinking of doing that this summer! and was wondeirng if you know what size enclosure they they managed to get out of that?
Do you mean you got a deal? or youve been offered one? if you got a deal the following is a bit pointless!!! but hey!
the polk subs are great sq subs, i had a 10" one
have you thought about 2nd hand? have a look in the http://www.talkaudio.co.ukwww.talkaudio.co.uk exchange. you could get an...
well if you were to put it under a flase floor i would put 1 or 2 12v computer fans in there, as if you really push them they could go into protection from being to hot.
Most modern amps will shut down before any major damage happens to them
cheers guys!
well, i love these things, you would hope for the price!! but giving a crystal 1.2k rms (sealed and carefull with gains!!) it sings! they rival zapco IMO (they have been made/desinged by the man who used to make/desinge all the zapco amps!)
amazing sq amps!!!
rorrie
Here are the 2 amps (2500 xxk and a 4050 xxk)

Now just need to get some perspex to cover the window!

^^ agreed, but ive only ever used 18mm.
Its much nice to work with, doesnt blunten you saw balde so fast, not nearly as much dust, and i think it gives a nicer ring to the box.
then again, bits more than 4 or 5 times than mdf in price!
ok, to build a strong fg bos it will be heavy, dont l;et that sway you!
if its a 10" sub with a fair amount of power you are goint to need 18mm, for and 8" sub with say 100rms 12mm will do.
I did make the mistake with my first box about wood strenght, if you dont belive me, build 2 boxes...
ok, well i have a look at mine, and see if i wrekon i can do it.
where do you want the heater unit ect relocated to?
ps - im going to brighton on sat for 5 weeks, then il back in durham till summer
