Nice rims...
Ive got a stealth system and sports cat on order from K-Tec. Thats obviously the one for me!! From what Ive heard, its all good from K-Tec...
Have you turned the auto lights off??
Try, ignition on, engine not running, rotating the light switch a couple of times (on, off and on, off). Then a beep should sound... I think??
I spoke with David on Friday re. the sports cat and cat back hidden system. He was quite happy for me to send an email as a kind of pre-order... Only problem is that weve got to wait a month!!
Anyone had a quote for the fitting?? Could do it myself, cat back is in two pieces, this means it...
I think the baging that is talked about and you mean is the engine knocking on the subframe??
Ive not heard of any other vibrating from around the gearstick, nearest place to that with a problem is the mid-section silencer. The 4K rattle...
Sod the problems, most can be sorted quite easily...
A car mech mate and me did four corners in under 2 hours... and we stopped for coffee!! He knew exactly waht he was doing tho. I couldnt believe the time taken, I thought it might take half a day!
As JAY172 said its not a hard job, only when you know how tho!
Cheers 172looney...
I have just read the other thread regarding the Janspeed/K-tec sports cat. Having read it Id sussed it out!
Looks like it will be a K-tec system from the manifold then, just want it to be subtle (noise) and stealth back box...
I dont want much do I?
Am I right in syaing that a de-cat is a through pipe in place of the original cat, I would need to change for MOTs etc
and a sports cat is just as named, no need to change for MOTs...
:confused::confused:
Ive been looking at other makes recently. (Howard & Scott - expensive), but am ready to get the exhaust now or when its ready! Dont fancy being guinneaipig tho!
At last... I spoke with them (dont think it was David) about a couple of weeks ago and they couldnt confirm dates. I nearly went elswear... Think Ill wait now!!
Good job K-tec!!
As the subject really.
K-tec do both, Janspeed do both. Any others? Anyone got any other makes fitted? Is it worth £500?
Any exhaust has to be better than the original!! Even one that fits a bike!
tvm
Those springs are good value for whats gained in handling. Im still well chuffed with mine.
Mine have settled further/lower, than when I did the before and after photos, obvious really!
ITG panel filter fitted today...
Sounds a fit daft and simple, but yeah, removed the oval shaped connection to the air box. Not really removed tho, just split the connection leaving the pipe near to its original position. It must enable better breathing, less restrictive!?
Yeah, your right!
Been out this morning a little! Seemed to be able to spin the wheels in second gear. This did not happen before (much)! I dont think that there was any fluids spilt on the roads either (making it slippy)!
I expect the ECU will have had to adjust to the new airflow (wihtin...
I have tried this today and cant believe the noise difference. Cant wait to get some exra ducting to it with new panel filter. With the difference in sound, sure makes it feel quicker, sure it isnt tho!
Lee M,
I had the GSD 2s fitted about 3500 miles ago...
Completely agree with what you have said about both manfurfacturer of the tyres.
I asked for the GSD 3 and was told that they dont do it on the std Ren size wheel, only thing near was the 205/40/17s. Have deffo got the GSD3s? Are they...
My old man built a 3.5 v8 with similar weight figures. 1st gear was mental, 2nd could be used at junctions to pull away in a decent manner!
I dont think he ever got enogh traction to get sub 4 sec...
GSD 2s if on 16s. GSD3s if on 17s.
I ran without spring mods (now with), GSD2s.
100% improvement on contis, I did think they were good too...
Its personal preference really tho.
