Sawa172 - no not Inchcape, I take both Clios to Simpkins in Chandlers Ford. Always get good service there.

Thanks Bob Ill do that. Still waiting for the postcard to tell me the parts are in. They did say that the centre section resonated when they tapped it, but it just doesnt sound like an exhaust rattle to me. Ill have to wait n see.

It was in for the famous 4k rattle today. Been pissing me off since I got it (6k so far). Sad thing is it wasnt fixed! :( Thay said the heat shield was ok, but the centre section has the rattle. Theyve ordered me one. Watch this space...

Mines in tomorrow for the dreaded 4k rattle. Ill let you all know how I get on. Paddy - when you gonna fix your radio? Mines been perfect since the new display was fitted (famous last words...)

Yogi - My airbag warning light comes on every so often, usually after someones moved the seat to get in the back. Just push the connector under each seat together a bit more & it sorts it. If it still does it, you can get the connectors soldered which will sort it for good.

Geoff_clio172 - What Radar detector do you use & what do you think of it? Im thinking about getting one & want to make sure itll work through the little window & not give to many false readings. Not that I ever speed of course ;)

Simon/Brun/Wkdlad - Thanks for the comments. Basically what I want is the best I can get at a reasonable price. I reckon the valentine sounds like a great bit of kit, but have ruled it out as I want to be able to use the detector in more than one car, (& ones a company car so I cant mod it) so...

Mine rattled from new. Spent the last 5000 miles being pissed off by it & tryinging to find the rattle under the dash, til I logged on here last week & found the answer! Printed out the various threads & took them to my local dealer. Booked in start of Jan to be fixed under warranty. Result!

Sounds good. Ill definately check it out when the RSis insurance runs out. Luckily for me the 172s a company car so insurance is free! :D (unless you take the tax into account :@)
