It was a good day. The weather was a bit hit and miss at times but there were some really good cars there, and the Clios put on a good show. Here are some more pics, the big install is Evil Ices demo car, the 19 in wheel is off K-Tecs bronze flipped clio, a pic of which has been posted above...
Ive got a mixture of Apex springs and KYB shocks on mine. It does the job well enough, it wont turn it into a racecar but it does improve the handling quite considerably and makes the car look good at the same time.

I think 2005 is the target for the cosworth. Theyre releasing the new shape Focus towards the end of this year (I think!) which has been designed to incorporate a four wheel drive system.
Dave, you might want to get the legality of those repeaters checked, cos I think the minimum distance from the ground your allowed is 350mm and yours look lower than that. Also, are they set back in the bumper? If so then make sure you can see them from almost a side on position when theyre...
I think you can get some Head Units that will work with the steering column control, but Im not sure which Manufacturer does them. Try posting in the Interior and ICE forum, someone will know.
As for stuff going wrong, the 1.4 is generally a very reliable engine if looked after so you shouldnt...
On the subject of sightings of black 888s. I saw it again tonight on the way home and it was definately black, but it didnt have the blue interior so I guess it must just be a normal Turbo Coupe. It did have the bigger bumpers tho, probably Irmscher accessories from the showroom. It also had...
Maybe the one I saw was blue then, it was getting on for night time when I saw it but I felt sure it was black. Oh well!
That interior makes the Focus RS look conservative!
Saw one of those in black the other day, I thought it looked really good. At the time I thought it was bits that the owner had put on, but looking at those pics it looked exactly the same so must have been one of those 888 jobbies.
I think its good that car companies are getting more...
Its always nerve racking on your first time, fumbling with your stick and forgetting everything youd practiced before hand.........;)
Anywayz, thats a good time for a first attempt, by the end of the summer you should be well into the 14s.

Its on the 25th of May, somewhere near Lutterworth which is just south of Leicester. Entry is £5 per person. Cliosport have got a stand, but it could be too late to get a place on it, pm Nick Read to see if there are any spaces left. Alternatively turn up on the day and pay as normal.

Really useful Ben. Im hoping to get a valver in a few months time, I think Ill have to print this off and use as a check list against any potential cars that I find. BTW the car in the black & white pic looks gangsta with that super wide kit on!

Chill Winston! it was meant in a happy happy fun fun way, not having a go or nuthin. I just thought it was funny that the first reply he got was saying you prefered the old ones!:D

I dare say it will also be a lot easier to find a GTT engine from something like an MOT failure or a car with rotten bodywork but an essentially sound engine, than finding a 1.8 16v or williams engine. Plus, you wont have any adverse handling effects from the weight of the engine with a GTT...
Is there anyone going to the French Car Show who has had the GTT conversion done. Ive seen a few pictures but it would be good to have a real good look around one to see how it fits, which mounts youve used etc.

You could colour code all the black bits. Get rid of the door locks, and handles if you want. If you can find some subtle side skirts, theyd probably look OK once its been lowered.
Other than that, its looking good.:D
