I was at Donington few years back a guy had a fully prep'd 'mint' lotus sunbeam in black & orange.
Engine & running gear worth more than most cars.
Was possibly worth fortune, trailered to events motor home scenario, muchos is wedge!
Coming out out Coppice a car lost it touched the grass &...
Too many heros, with too little talent, with too much to prove = disaster waiting.
At least you walked away from it!
Any tool can drive fast on track the skill is keeping hold of it when it goes pear shaped :o
It is the risk you take.
Looks like driver error to me.
People forget start off slow & build up & stay within 'your talent range', step outside this & boom!
^^^ if your tyres are the ones above.
Do not listen to the 'sheep' they are getting rave reviews.
I remember posting about fitting RSR's few years back & had the same response....how times change ;)

When you book a track day the one element you cannot control is the weather.
For me any muppet can pedal it on a fine day add some rain & this is where the fun for me really is ;)
I run them all the time till winter.
After a trackday they clean up nicely for the next event ;)
Not bothered with swapping tyres after every event & if you do the maths it's cheaper to run just the RSR :D
Tyres are the least expensive part of my yearly trackday calendar!
