I should point out the Clio hasn't gone yet, but it will be shortly put officially for sale...I did give it one last detail this weekend :

And a quick spec list/advert I wrote up ...

It's an Oyster Grey 250 Cup, with a wicked factory spec and most optional extras - Recaros, RS Monitor, Bi-Xenons, Climate Control, Keyless, Auto Lights/Wipers, DRL's and no doubt some other stuff I've...
Well looks like I haven't updated this for a good little while again..little bit has happened :
Spax RSX Coilovers happened, as well as finally getting my OZ Chrono's on the car, wrapped in AD08R's, also fitted some new tie rod ends again :

Seems that on these Low Boost conversions the magic figure is about 230bhp or so? (And similar torques)
What's the limiting factor from going higher? Is it the internals, clutch/gearbox or just seen as being the ideal power?
What's stopping you putting in a Megane head gasket to lower the...
Might get out of mine, it's gone too far to use as a daily unfortunately:

I've just out a mate with the same wheels is running a 295mm Wilwood 4 Pot Kit with only 16mm Spacers, admittedly it's close...but then I have no idea how a wilwood kit compares size wise to a Brembo
Right, I'm thinking I could even struggle with 280mm discs here, would value your opinions
Basically they're 15", and whilst the spokes have plenty of clearance they've got a lip running inside the wheel, which isn't giving me much clearance, since I'm already on 16mm Spacers.
See the...
Perfect, thanks for that @optical
I'd love to tidy it and paint it up but unfortunately I'm a bit stuck as I need the car done ASAP (daily driver)
Also interestingly, I can get a genuine one cheaper than I can find a SNR one anywhere, so will probably just hold out the extra day and wait for...
Need a new front wheel bearing for my cup packed 182, so the larger one (84mm OD)
Am I best off getting a Genuine one, or is SNR an OE Equivalent?
Only reason I ask I'd normally go Genuine but I can get the SNR from Euro Car Parts a day sooner which would be a big help, even if it'd cost me a...
Currently on : 205/45/16 on 7J (Diameter = 590.9mm)
Putting on : 195/50/15 on 7J (Diameter = 576mm)
Am I right in thinking I'll have 7.45mm less arch gap? (14.9mm difference / 2)
Just want to make sure it'll lower the car/reduce the arch gap?
I know we're talking minimal amounts, but just...
It's this one here Mark
Haven't actually got a decent photo of it fitted, but here's one ;
I have got one of those cruise control brackets fitted to it now which isn't in that photo
Cheers mate, still got the RB?
Jesus, what a long time since I've posted in here!
Besides general maintenance tasks and servicing (note to self I really need to do the self servicing stickers since I've owned the car) I don't think I've actually changed anything on the Clio since I last updated it!
Unfortunately between...
Big old thread bump here, but looking into fitting some Brembo's and would like to run them with my 15" OZ Chronos (ET35 off the top of my head)
I think as far as wheels go they have decent brake clearance?
Now I'm guessing I'd need 280mm's with the calipers machines/milled down?
I've...
That would of been me @Bug if I remember rightly, Mine was on Turinis and Recaros?
On my way down to Bath, was running a little late so had to put the foot down slightly!
Yours looked fairly clean from what I remember, but yeh mine was probably filthy!
Spend the money on handling mods and brakes first, you can always turbo after
No point chucking 3 grand at a toy which is designed to save money, only to run it on a standard setup
Interesting thread, especially since I'm considering boosting mine in the near future
I'd aim for for the 250/260bhp which hopefully shouldn't need a forged engine and the gearbox would cope, interested to know if this was possible/ideal with the thicker Megane head gasket
Ah sorry, was a little slow working that out lol

A decent camera does help enhance the shine though, as it really pick up the detail and DOF...you'd never be able to get a shot like that off a phone easily...
Worst thing...
Thanks for the tag Dan...although I have no idea why lol
Looks a nice base, can't beat BG!
Pretty cool having factory Sat Nav, mind I bet it's bloody useless in today's age! I bet you could do someone cool with that extra space though
I should point out that I already take 1L, 1L Coolant and 500ml Brake Fluid - I assume that's adequate amounts?
My car doesn't use any of the above, I just take it as a precaution
Anyone got a list of spares to take with them on a track day, which is suited for a 182?
Something which you could replace there and then without too much issue, and carry on with your trackday
E.g.: HT Leads, Coilpack, Brake Pads, etc
Just I'm planning to do more days next year, and would...
