Just read completely through this, and fairplay to you mate - this is an epic build!
Love how it's all been done properly with the best quality parts available
Any other plans? Not that I can think of anything else it needs lol
Know anyone with an impact gun? Keep the wheels down on the floor and it should be easy enough
Or if you don't I reckon with a breaker bar you should be able to get them off
Awesome write up that Dan, Thanks for that buddy! Definitely considering, but I'll admit I won't take it as far as you
I'm just thinking interior mainly - carpets, sound deadening, plastics, etc
But for now I'll enjoy some more refinement whilst I can lol
As you said a lightweight battery is...
I'm extremely lucky in the fact that I've got a place I can work on the car in the evenings, and have all the tools, as well as mates who are willing to help out should I need it! I love working on my own car, there's just something about it - whether its the learning or the satisfaction when...
@BlackGoldMatt Dont know if you'll remember as its a couple of years ago but Did you find you had to cut the wiring on your alarm sensors in order to get them onto the new A Pillars?
Can't see how else I can fit them on my flocked ones without cutting and resoldering...
No way off physically...
I rate my Whiteline one well Dan, you've got a couple of different settings on it too to play with
Not sure how the PMS one compares but I'm sure it's decent quality, just may be a bit racecar orientated
Saying that mines on the hardest setting and with the updated drop links it would be...
I fitted one, and it definitely made a difference - whether it actually has or it's just in my head I don't know, but money well spent in my opinion
Back end seems a lot more planted, although people have commented that the back end looks a bit skippy when following at fastish corners, but...
Just some information for anyone else who is fitting a PMS Strut Brace and Mounts,
I found exactly the same when putting the strut brace on the turrets, it didn't look like it would fit central i.e. Would be over to be one side of one.
This was the case even with my struts out
So I used the...
Cooksport Springs, which I'd really recommend if your after a set of springs. Ideally I'd like a set of coilovers (B14's or better), but as I can't afford to go any lower because of the roads I live on, they can wait for now
Your the very first person that I've heard from complaining about...
Going to keep this short and sweet as absolutely shattered after only 5 hours sleep last night,
Vibra-Technic Gearbox Mount all fitted, was actually easier than I expected and didn't bother taking the cage off - happy days! Would of painted it up but as you'll never see it, there really is no...
Thanks buddy! As far as I know they're original Recaro/Trophy mounts, came with the seats when I bought them
Cheers Dan, it's getting there slowly! All the bushes are with me and waiting to be fitted - Inner and Outer ARB, and Steering Rack ones - all black series Powerflex!
Honestly can't...
Don't tell lies now Daniel, we all know it was the hard setting on the ARB and your upgraded drop links, amazing you didn't go sideways into a tree like very says Haha
Now your all on the weight saving bandwagon - how you finding it? Much difference in performance?
Just a thought but have you...
Had another night working on the car, quite pleased with the progress tonight - only quick snaps off my phone again sorry, didn't have my DSLR with me
Changed out the rear shocks for brand new Cup ones

Cheers Dan, always wanted to go flocked but couldn't be bothered with the hassle, but there's a localish guy who has started doing Clio ones and at a good price so thought why not!
Yeh really pleased with it, suits what I want absolutely spot on, wanted something smaller but not too aftermarket...
Well instead of fitting all my parts I've bought...I ended up buying more parts!!
Can you guess what I've bought with this as a clue...

Pretty obvious isn't it?!

That's right, a flocked dash!
Untitled by Jimbob_2705...
That is a shame! Luckily I've got a mate who is fairly mechanically minded who's offered to help, but just thought I'd try and get as much information and tools needed before we start
You sir are a legend! Good price too, especially with a lifetime guarantee
I'll call by after work today,
I...
Thanks all, some really good info on here!
Must confess I didn't actually get around to doing it, my mate who was going to help but couldn't make it so it will be done one evening this week!
What size flare spanners do I need? Tempted to get some, especially if it makes life easier
I was seriously tempted by one of these instead of a 182, but the 4th piston issue put me off, although it doesn't seem too much of a common problem now
My main concern was the handling also, which I'd be interested to know how it compares with your 172?
But lovely cars - look awesome, and the...
Doing my Brake Refresh today hopefully - new discs, pads, braided brake lines and new fluid
Happy enough with the discs and pads as I've done them before, and reading on the bleeding side of things it looks easy enough as I've got an Eezibleed kit
Just wondering if it's a case of literally...
What day Dan?
It's virtually a 40 on all of the road, goes up to a 50 in places
It's pretty open so you should be able to see if any police/cameras, well I bloody hope so anyway!! Otherwise I'm in big big trouble
Just a heads up there's a couple of car parks which they could park in, so I'd...
I don't know the differences if I'm honest, I'm sure this ones a 3+ Black - 10.1MP I think...
Yeh they're edited, albeit just a quick tweak in Lightroom. Possibly a Clarity/Sharpening edit which would help the quality, along with a highlight recovery to bring some lost detail back from the sky...
