cheers! I'm not giving up. Think I will keep it small and local for now and then branch out if it starts to pay off and I get some regular business. Keep my day job and do this as a side business to be safe. Good luck with yours also! ;)
Things aren't looking good for my latest business venture then!! Yet another cheap polish hand car wash has opened in my area in the last week and iv spent the last month planning and working out how to offer a reasonable valet service to people...but the competition is hard and you lot are...
... I just used a DAS-6 and a polishing pad with some cutting polish and then moved onto a finishing polish. 10 times better and far less aggressive than going at them with and paper!!
Its an awkward time to upgrade! New iPhone in September/October and the newest Android stuff isnt out for another month or two either. What ever you get now will be out of date in a matter of weeks rather than months.
I am and have been a member of the iPhone clan for as long as i can...

£17 posted now. Part number is in the advert title to give to Skoda if you want to order in the dealerships and save the postage costs! :)
Its as simple as fil_b makes it sound really! :) I made a center line from my front Renault Diamond using some string and a weight and marked it up with a chalk pen, and then marked up the middle of the splitter by measuring it. Once I had the center lines I drilled a series of small pilot hole...
VRS I believe! I was lazy and ordered off eBay after searching "Skoda Splitter" it Was £17 delivered. If you go to Skoda it's £11 and you can collect it from them directly. Girlfriends brother got his from Skoda directly so saved £6!
Not yet... But it's hardly been driven since fitting... So I will see how long it is until I get grabbed by the short and curlies for it! :/ I didn't know it would be so small until it arrived!
I will decide in the morning... The car needs to get me to work on Monday and it's getting fixed on Tuesday. I'm game for a car park meet with a bit of food and a drive out casually! I will bring the camera for some photos if we get a good turn out.

Already tied... It looks ferking terrible and it wobbles around loads! If it snaps iv got no car for Monday when I need it for work, not really sure I want to risk it!
Rollers could be wrong but chances are your dad hasn't timed the car properly. Iv don't loads of cam belts in my time, non as bloody annoying as the Clio and I would never try it on my own with out specialist help. You need to lock the cams into position before taking the belt off, the slightest...
I'm going to zip tie it up more tomorrow and nip the one bolt up a little but more just to be sure it's not going to drop! Hopefully the garage im taking the car to will just drill the snapped one out and replace them with new bolts. Going to ask them to grease everything up as well to stop this...
Did that...the bolt sheared off at the halfway point. Couldn't be more fuming. The zorst is even more wonky now and I need to take it to a garage next week. :/ f**king s**t cars! Haha.
In the process of swapping my zorst mount in my 172. Got one bolt out, made a move onto removing the second and it won't budge. The first bolt had a 13mm nut in the back, guessed the second one was the same...it's not. Anyone know if this is part of the car or another nut that is properly...
Hahaha! What ever you do! Don't apply it with your face! ;)
depends on what you are applying. For the cutting and finishing polish I use soft microfiber pads and to buff it off I use a clean microfiber cloth. Then glaze I use another microfiber cloth to apply and buff off. Wax I tend to use a...
Cheers. It wasn't perfect as can be seen in the last picture, still a few swirls and scratches, and the residue around the indicator and bump strips. I was just playing with product combinations and hand polishing cloths to see what would work. The rest of the car was bloody horrible! haha

the 105 is a cutting polish, the 205 is a finishing polish to buff the clear coat back up. :) I tend to couple it with a polymer Glaze to help fill and remaining scratches that i missed by hand and then wax it all in!
Hand polishing can be really rewarding when done propely though! :p
I tested out some new products on my mates car to see how they worked on black paint, all done by hand.

That was with Megs 105 and 205, a glaze and wax coat. Hand polishing gets some...
