    Weird climate issue.

@lemonnobby fixed mine in my Monaco, it was doing exactly that. Paul, what did you do?? 😂

    128k Cup - "Recently recommisioned"

That’s my mate selling that. I actually sold it to him after buying it from this forum! 😂 Cambelt hasn’t been done. Well, it has but it’s due again on time. Both him and myself rarely get cambelts done on RS products because (like you!) customers never believe us anyway so there’s no point in...

I will PayPal you £10 if you video the next draining of your gearbox.

    Catalytic converter

@Romanian Tyre Fitter can hook you up if you don’t have Facebook. If it’s a genuine one, £650-ish.

    Catalytic converter

As above. Cat buyers on Facebook will offer you £650-700 for a genuine Renault 172 Cat. Don’t undersell it.

Chipping the flat Spot from a 197

I’m very local to Avon Tuning and they’ve probably done 10 of my cars over the years. My current van was remapped by them about 8 months ago and no issues to report. Definitely worth ringing them. Gareth is EXTREMELY knowledgeable.

    Martin's 172 Exclusive

Excellent choice sir! Massive fan of Exclusives, I’d love one! Apart from some B14’s and a Skoda splitter, it would be completely standard for me.

Multiple faults on 2007 MK3 Clio 1.6 Auto Initiale

Ahh, didn’t know he was that way. Never dealt with him myself but know plenty of people on here that rave about him. Been around the forum a long time too.

The only ones I know of that way are Two Techs in Dartford. They get good reviews all the time.

    Are K-tec spacers safe?

Absolutely fine, provided they are fitted properly by someone who knows what they’re doing. Go for it!

Multiple faults on 2007 MK3 Clio 1.6 Auto Initiale

Where are you located? There’s some really good specialists on here and we can point you towards them. You need someone with clip (the Renault diag tool) to read it properly otherwise you’ll waste £££ on parts darts.

What’s the current go to shampoo

I’m using the orange Sonax at the moment and it’s really good. Although I normally use Autosmart Duet - because cheap - so can’t really compare the sonax to much else.

    Bye Bye Race car.

I wasn’t implying he didn’t, I just wanted to know why he positioned himself on the outside. (Didn’t watch the whole video, only the gory bits! Lol)

    Bye Bye Race car.

Who was it driving? And why (forgive my ignorance) we’re you trying to overtake on the left? Weren’t you coming up to a right handed bend??

    Ns2r vs ar1

Completely different tyre. NS2R are a good fun budget tyre. AR-1’s however are a LOT grippier, have infinitely stiffer sidewalls and won’t overheat anywhere near as quickly. But they’re about double the price. Depends what you want from your tyres really.

What to use to clean bonnet stripes?

Autoglym super resin polish. And don’t take it to the local scratch and shine because the chemicals they use discolor them. Also, never wash them when they’re hot. Today’s stripe care was brought to you by ‘Daniel’.

    Need a honest opinion

Heat cycles have been known to crack discs that are drilled/grooved. Plain discs are cheap, do the job fine and as such I see no need to essentially waste more money. My friend has a clio with Willwood 4 pots, J hook discs, and CL pads and yes he has immense stopping power but he chews...

    Need a honest opinion

I use Brembo HC plain discs, standard calipers and DS1.11 pads, cheap Euro car parts fluid. I’ve done 6 track days on this setup and not only have I had zero brake fade but the brakes still have well over 60% left in them. Not even close to being worn out. I can stamp on them at whatever speed...

MPS3 Out of Stock in UK?

I was talking to our tyre suppliers last week about stock and how they’re struggling. He said a container from China/over that way used to be anything from £1200-1800. Since Covid it’s £10,000. And that’s just the container, let alone the price rises of the tyres inside. I’d imagine a lot of...

    Renault 12 year Anti-corrosion warranty

BMW M4: Issues/ must have spec?

Is that when something gets scored/too hot/burnt? We went to see a man not long ago who was repairing an M4 and had the engine in pieces. Said he’s doing loads of them. I wasn’t really listening though. But he had what looked like burnt rod bearings in his hand. 😂
