Interestingly, I had a guy call up on a 2012 Jag that I’m selling.
“alright mate. Is it in immaculate condition?”
no
“Why do you mean? Is it battered??”
no. It’s a lovely example and we’re pleased to have it in stock. Will make someone a lovely car.
“But it’s not immaculate?”
no. It’s 11...
I thought as much. I need better suspension. It’s great fun as it is but I’ve got new, better, tyres going on it tomorrow and I predict my trackday on the 26th will leave me wanting more from the car after that upgrade.
was stabbing in the dark that a RARB kit will cure my issues but I’ll have...
Guys and gals...
I’m looking for an all in one polish that I can use on a DA. Any recommendations??
I want something that is easy on/off, brings shine and fills a few swirls. (Bad cars will have a proper machine polish) The cars are kept indoors so not worried about longevity.
Autofinesse...
Yes, it’s properly properly fast. Is he in the same class as you??
I can’t see how a 300+BHP car can be any fun in that class when he’s literally just driving around people with so much ease.
1.17’s?? That’s good mate, especially with 2 years off. I’m a constant 1.21 on old s**t tyres and...
Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure the mk3/4’s don’t have a fuel cut off switch like the mk2’s.
I think it’s all done via the Airbag ECU.
best bet is to get someone with the correct diagnostic equipment (CLiP) and get them to scan it for any issues.
airbag ECU’s can be repaired cheaply...
I can’t see how DS1.11’s can overheat or become crap on the road.
I use them on my track car and they take an absolute beating and the pads and discs are still showing plenty of life after 3 full days.
my friend (who is a considerably better/faster driver than me) is also using them on his 200+...
A proper detail, quite rightly, costs £1,000+. The volume of work involved is mind blowing, before you even start on ability and skill set.
if you don’t want to spend that much, maybe ask in here for someone local that does it as a hobby. The results won’t be the same but you get a cheap deal...
I’d budget £4K at least.
even if you bought a rough one for £2k it will need belts, a suspension refresh and possibly some paint. Won’t see much if any change from £2k for that.
Jon you’re the cleverest bloke on this forum. You can fix/make anything.
have you considered that if you’re stuck, you the master, that there may not actually be a solution anywhere in the world??
