i optimized the inlet(s) which are now big and non restrictive , threw in some awesome Italian cams, and the decat (+ofcourse rest of exhaust) must be done to compliment the other work done.
Maximise air/fuel in and maximise out-flow.. logical thought me thinks. So all restrictions lost...
likes to rev, this car. Needs it.
You will have to watch brakes and tyres i guess, that's it. Change oil more often when you're going all out revving the tits off of her
yeah ball joint is the almost ONLY possibilty when tracking is out again in such a short time. When this has play (they should check for you) you will never get a correct tracking !
90 mm deepdish. Sorry not a great pic. This way you can move the seat back for good throttleposition and the wheel is still nice and close to you. A lot of you are about the looks of a wheel, it should just bring good driveability !
one advice to the OP ; if you decide to get one , get a deep-dished one ! Far better than the flat ones ! meaning the seating position get a lot better
maybe you could check for the "response?" of the rear shocks/springs. How does the back of your Cup spring back up when you trie to push the backside down ? It should spring back up to the position from where it started and also stop there .
I hope that's clear , was looking for words in my...
i had the same a couple of months back. My waterpump was leaking/faulty. Cost me a new pump (around 60 pounds) , new auxbelt and a little labour. In total 150 i believe
Next time when being able to look under the car you can spot a leak by the red (or green i believe) residue it spits...
yeah well for sure there IS some play going round in the front section after a lot of miles of thrashing.. May get the Mark Fish top mounts some time.
Let me know if you find the prob mate ; mine has very strangely went away but always listening for it to come back. It will, is my guess
That's odd.. I had a tapping noise too , sonetimes coming out of a curve. Was already looking out for shafts and unhappily preparing for the $$$ it would cost me. Now the problem/noise has dissapeared !?!?
it is just the backbox and it looks okay. The " Orbisoud" backbox looks exactly the same. 35 euro is allright
you will need a good welder to get it to match the rest of your exhaust :)
You're the one talkin rubbish here mate, the reactions were all good info
Back on topic; i always changed mine (3 times) back to oem. couple of months back i tried the dogbone from Powerflex and really like it. Better throttle reaction. I can predict that when i choose the uprated top ones...
i found mine to be noisy with the standard oil they throw in at Reno , now i use Motul 300V (great stuff) and all noise gone. Opie oils is the one to check.
I also get the humming from the interior light but only with engine off ? I do'nt care about it and it's lasted for 4 years + i still...
problems;- dephaser (has to do with the VVT)
-oem exhaust = absolute waste
-rattling inside cabin
-lower balljoints go alot
-driveshafts
-gearbox , look out for this !! needs to be smooth everywhere in every gear or do'nt touch !
i have not had any of the above probs , except for the...
best upgrade will be good suspension, although the OEM suspension does quite well when not too old
No cross-overs i think.
Read up on matched inlets (inletmanifold) , it's mostly a very good mod. And a Fastchip Remap or tunerkit (www.fastchip.nl)
Ofcourse exhaust-mods. Decat with remap +...
read this thread too, may clear things up ?

Yeah i read about you and Nick172cup going to the ring quite often, maybe not together but i think he was also there lots
I ALMOST went to Zandvoort (15 minute drive) two months ago , we had signed up but due to not enough sign-ups it was called off. We were supposed to have a go in a...
haha well no thanks, i live in Hoofddorp and yeah actually always on the lookout for something else (as Hoofddorp is just ehh.. Hoofddorp) but Sittard is'nt the region i'd be looking ;)
I was just wondering where and when you go out for track days as i know you've been around.. I am thinking...
