very optimistic. I have the cams these were copied from and i'm making a very healthy 190+ / 172 at the wheels (Colombo & bariani cams) with inlets done, 182 exhaustmanifold and custom remap
JMS tuning have developed an intake manifold retaining standard ecu which will get you to the...
idle gets worse
i'm attracted to the fact that the revs come down+up faster which can be usefull on track. On a daily driver though i think i would'nt want it , with the bad idle and maybe more nervous engine
This seems one of the hardest problems to solve without either buying a good car or just ripping al the wiring out to replace all the sensors, ecu + loom ofcourse
All threads just stop without conclusions. Only conclusion i get that once you get electrical problems they will stick to you like a...
the whine is normal.
it seems that after searching through a lot of threads that the only people who ever cured the Throttle positioning faults/codes have purchased a brand new ecu !?!?
I'm very pissed because mine has been added to the limp-list
what happened in the end ?
Mine is playing up too :dapprove: I have Google-d and saw a lot of Throttle positioning sensor fault probs, also a test on the sensor on youtube.. So i'm thinking i'm joining the everlasting problem-list here for f***s sake
mine has been burning Motul 300V , i was worried at first but not anymore. I do'nt know though if it has been caused by the cams or the oilchange..
It's very gradual and little/exceptable
"Toluene also poses similar problems as alcohol fuels, as it eats through standard rubber fuel lines and has no lubricating properties as standard gasoline does, which can break down fuel pumps and cause upper cylinder bore wear."
read up on your comment, Wikipedia. Where did you get that...
Right..
i'm not using the stuff again. I had another incident ; spluttering and dying revs which did'nt let me go past 3000 anymore. Exit'd the highway , turned off ignition, reset, all was good.
Now i drove around till my tank was DRY, getting rid of te injector-cleaning s**t, and filled 'r...
i think that a good clean of the calipers , (moving break parts?) of the rear is neccescary. Still easily moveable by hand while braking does'nt seem right.
Mine will be on a ramp/bridge soon and will also check this
That load-valve; i think the 172Cup does'nt have this attached from factory . Mine was'nt either anyway. Maybe something to do with the car having no abs, being lightweight and backend-happy.
I think with this valve working (attached) they foresaw accidents happening do to rear-end breaking...
wow i've been talking s**t i think; looking at how the thing comes off on the picture ! Big rubber goes on top !? Mine came off the other way round !?
Come to think of it ; mine had been changed once already so they may have fitted mine with the wrong rubber on top...
Some people (including...
lol i was just Google-ing to find out how wheelpower measures up to flywheelpower and found this link; it's good for pub-talk haha, made me happy anyway..

it seems mine is making 201,7 with the above mentioned C&B cams, matched inlets, exhaust...
That would surprise me too ! Was the temp measured after a cold-startup ? Maybe al the engine parts are quite cool then and affect the temp that the sensor reads (?)
