Its a standard 172 and I've always thought they sit a little high. Whats the best way to drop them a tad? Id rather not stiffen the ride too much though I do accept this may be a consequence. I know knack all about suspensions so please speak slowly.

I know this should be easy. I popped out the glass and unscrewed the metal plate. Then undid the screw that holds the mirror to the car itself. The two plastic halves of the mirror would still not prise apart. Is there something I'm missing here or is more force needed?

Has anyone fit a temp gauge in the passenger wing mirror? Any tips? I don't even know how to open the wing mirror itself. And what can I expect to find inside? Is it a simple job? I don't know whether to just buy a new temp gauge or a full new wing mirror. Help please. Thanks.
