Sounds like the drivers seat is stuck and the brakes are making knocking noises. For the drivers seat, try looking at the mechanism and unsticking it. The knocking brakes, find out where the knocking is coming from and replace whatever it is.

You'd struggle to make that any more vague. where is the clunking coming from? Is it related to the drivetrain speed or engine speed? Is the car in gear or not when you've turned the wheels? Is it when you go over bumps or round corners?

The issue is supplying your own parts. The garage changing your cambelt won't offer you any warranty because you've supplied your own parts. Renault won't give you any warranty on the parts unless they see its been fitted correctly. 90% of the time, you're better off to let the garage doing the...

Speak to LW smart repairs. They were based in alfreton till the unit burnt down. Think they're in Tansley now if they aren't back in alfreton yet. they did the respray on coops mk1 and fixed the flat spots on my wheels a couple of times.
