Why don't you disconnect the ARB from he sub frame for spraying.
Looking good by the way and how handy is that to have a spray painter for a girlfriend!
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Update time:
Thought when the driveshafts were off they should be treated to a bit of a freshen up.
Nearly finished the fuel system with the tank end connections and fuel pressure regulator all connected. Just got to get a megane fuel rail connector and join it up...
I used to use Motul but the price of it is getting crazy. You need to buy 3 x 2ltr at about £25 each. I use Millers CFS now as it comes in a 5ltr container and works out a lot cheaper.
£95 for 4 oil changes does sound good though!
Guess that's not a genuine manifold then.
Yup, subframe has to come off to fit which is why most dont bother for the gains you get.
Not to be negative but most say the std 172 manifold works better with cams anyway but it's done now.
I'll check tomorrow for you as I got hose tails and stainless tees made up for the standard hoses then when I fitted the forge hoses I realised I never needed them.
The turbo connections are 13mm.
On the aftermarket forge hoses there is a connection just before the matrix to allow a return when the heater is on cold. Just take a feed from there to the inlet of the turbo and the same from the outlet to the return hose.
Hope this makes sense.
If they look ok on the outside just rub them down to bare metal, prime, spray and lacquer the bead and jobs a good un. Done it with loads of wheels and the only one that didnt work for was bent.
