Agree with you chip about the A048's to the r888's. I found the 888's to go off very quickly compared to the a048's so I just stick with them now and I've got a good supply of used ones so its a win win.
Whats the plans with the engine fresh up?
3rd November. Get a trailer sorted out!
Good to catch up and as usual watching you guys on track makes me want on sooooo much.
It's good that there are so many clios to watch.
I took the fuel rail off and removed the injectors. I then put a 12v feed across it and listened to the click of the coil opening and closing. 1 didn't do anything and then looked like this:
This was on no.3 cylinder iirc.
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
Due to the servo working when the ignition is off, the pedal will feel hard. When the ignition is on the servo is working and so sounds like you need to bleed them.
Think I'll make it for a while tomorrow and it'll add another 100 miles onto the running in miles.
See if I can blag a passenger lap too as it's been a while since I've been on and don't want to get lost when I get back on in a couple of weeks. Lol
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
They male all the plugs different so they only mate with 1 socket. Just look at each and they will become clear.
Yup, swap 1 out 1 in. No need for a jack. If the engine moves and doesn't line up with the holes once removed then it might be a sign of another mount that is suspect. Mine never moves when fitting.
Make sure you have the large washers for either side of the bush so you don't squash it.
Is there anything wrong with the caliper or is it just the fact thatbyou have altered the rake of the suspension?
I would try raising the rear slightly as this seemed to only happen when you lowered it?
If he added the compensator from a non cup then the lower it is at the rear the more...
Re: what exhaust system do you have on your 172 and are you running a decat or sports
Yozza supersport with Decat and it sounds epic on a f4rt lump. :D
So far I like it. Scoff still has some more mapping to do when I get it back to him to sort the cold start with idle control and also get it fully mapped to see how many ponies we can get out of it.
At idle it is fast but not lumpy but mine is the F4rT lump so cams are different.
Probably cause the actual car outlay is too high compared to 1*2's.
If you can fit the f4rt in a 172 bay then it should be easy enough in a 197. There will be issues that you will have to overcome as you reach than much as I and others have done.
