Re: 172 Cup track toy! Got the oil changed today after reaching 200 miles with the millers running in oil. Changed to some top quality halfords semi 10w40. Then went out a drive and managed another 70 miles so only another 230 or so to go. I'm varying the load, rpm and increasing boost slightly...

It's not a race car so a few kg shouldn't make too much difference. Your arse will love them on a long drive to a track. :D

There is no way. Something else is not right with this unless 1" is an exaggeration and it's more like a few mm.

Is the spring sitting in the strut correctly? I would be getting that looked at ASAP.

1 wheel sits 1" further out. Is that correct? This is more that different hub/stub axle. Has 1 got a 25mm spacer? :S

Just thought as you were mounting from the front of the block, the weight of the rear of the block at that side would be under supported.

Liking the mounts! Are you going to add a 5th mount at the cam belt side?

You could end up throwing good money after bad trying to get the stock ecu to do something it's not designed for. Keep your eyes open for even an omex unit that would do a better job.

Stand alone or piggy back the only way to get this running right IMO. I use the adaptronic ecu mapped by scoff and would recommend it. What map sensor do you have?

Not essential but highly recommended IMO. Depends on what level of workmanship you work to.

Anyone know the spec of the standard rear springs for height and lb's? I want to get lower springs with the same or slightly higher lb's. Cheers

Have you checked the level of the ps fluid?

What exhaust manifold are you using?

Re: 172 Cup track toy! It's a recliner so not as snug as a full bucket. My big ass fits in with room to spare so you should be fine. Lol

From memory: Remove battery Remove airbox and inlet pipe Remove ecu bracket Take the weight of the gearbox with a trolley jack Disconnect loom from mount Remove 3 17mm bolts holding mount to gearbox Remove 4 13mm bolts holding mount to chassis Pull the mount free from the bay Unbolt upper and...

Nothing special about fitting the mounts that I know of. I use the vibratechnic mounts which give slightly more vibration through the car but nothing that bothers me. No point in larger rears. The standard ones hardly do anything anyway.
