ah ok, cool. so all ive done is ensure that it is thinks the handbrake is released! The only reason im asking is because nearly all the functions are unasable, even the settings menu's, im hoping by grounding that wire they will come alove, will try tonight. cheers

Hi all, ive just removed a Pioneer DEH75BT head unit from my car, it was the original item when i purchased the car and it was shocking, however knowing i would replace it, it didnt bother me. Ive since replaced it but id like to get it fully functioning if possible and keep it as a spare so...

Ford has 1.75 Din, however with the correct adaptor peices they can fit, also i think some chopping is required behind the uint. No biggy though. Fitted in a focus RS: You can see thin fillet pieces down the side of the stereo, those ive got ready, ebay jobbies.

yes very true, its a great place for them, however it involved a st170 surround with some fabrication involved. i couldnt be arsed with that and liked the idea of not having to look eleswhere for information. i did find one for sale but they guy wanted £70-80 for the surround which is silly...

As i say, very very conservative driving to get that mpg figure! real world it isnt gonna be as good! yes soaked in water, sqeezed before i put it on so it was super damp then applied. Ran it for ages and went for a drive, steam and smoke from the wrap was comical, all good though :)

cheers for all the comments. thought id add. My 172 on itbs (200bhp) isnt anywhere near as quick as this. not even close. Obviously the rs isnt standard but it wouldnt have much problems seeing off my old car. Also, my 172 was about the same in a straight line as a 197. so hard to compare...

must admit, the mrs got in and said they were bright, i put the full beams on and hardly notice any difference. Just found a nice how to on changing the lights to dark, home made jobby in order i think. looks easy!
