Pioneer Headunit repair...can you help?

  Focus RS Mk1
Hi all, ive just removed a Pioneer DEH75BT head unit from my car, it was the original item when i purchased the car and it was shocking, however knowing i would replace it, it didnt bother me.

Ive since replaced it but id like to get it fully functioning if possible and keep it as a spare so that when i sell the car i can keep my new one.

The issue is that the front fascia plate (the bit with the screen and buttons) doesnt work, It must be a loose connection because sometimes the unit turns on but with no lights/screen function, when it does come on it works as normal, most of the time i cant turn it on at all. If i push and pull on the front fascia plate it does sometimes turn on! Basically its broke!

Ive googled all sorts looking for fixes to loose/poor fascia plate connections but i cant find anything, and when i do its american stuff that isnt really relevant.

So, can you help, got any links, ideas, how to's etc etc???

My last option is to contact pioneer direct but its seems a bit far fetched at this stage!

Thanks in advance.

Sean.

try what I suggested first as it isnt always the ribbon, much cheaper than buying that and taking your unit apart
