If you're pressing the brake pedal with no pads in, you risk pushing the piston out of the caliper

Take the adjusters out, bolt the shocks back up, and lower the car back down. If you can kick those springs out I'll give you a tenner.

Bullshit. 17s on a Clio give a horrible crashy ride. I guarantee if you try chucking it round a corner they'll rub on the front bumper brackets regardless of offset. I've been there and done it long before you.

Fairly common for the rear calipers not to wind back in. I just bought a caliper off ebay to replace it.

If your rear beam is moving about enough to let the springs drop out, your shocks are seriously fucked.
