    Clock/radio display removal?

Exactly the same thing happened to me. The airbag frame had been bent, so the slots in the dash wouldn't release. My solution was to unplug and unscrew the passenger airbag in situ and bring it out with the dash - super fiddly with a 1/4 wrench but it worked. Then bent the airbag frame back...

What are peoples experiences with sports cats on 1.2 16v?

60K in mine and never a single pop or bang, might be worth fixing it before f*cking with it

    MK2 1.4 16v

That's what I was thinking... If MC fluid/pad pressure is the same as before and the pedal progression from the bigger calliper cylinder feels good why mess with it 🤷‍♂️

    MK2 1.4 16v

@stealthstylz have you had chance to change over the master cylinder? I have been running this conversion for a couple months and getting on well with it. Prefer the linear feel so much more. I have 182 MC ready to go in and was wondering how you got on

    Rear engine mount

Would recommend genuine again. Aftermarket split after two years and leaked the gel-bush-fluid stuff inside. Genuine been on their three years and still doing a great job. (assuming its one of these) And for the rear engine mount in principle yes, the bolt hole is offset so as long as you...

    Rear engine mount

From my experience three options: 1. Buy genuine, rubber lasts way longer and stays tougher. I had an aftermarket (maybe Febi) break on me after two years. When braking the engine would shift forward meaning I lost reverse, 1st and 2nd... That was a fun drive back from work 2. Buy a cheap one...

Mk2 1.2 Dynamique: Larger Brake Discs?

Thank you for the info, even with the few extra mm on the 280 disc it will be well off then Won't be as easy as using 1mm washers as you did in your TurboRenault write up Thanks again

Mk2 1.2 Dynamique: Larger Brake Discs?

@Adey. Bit of a revival, going down the route of 307/280mm conversion. I did a test fit today and I wanted to ask if the carrier gap looks about right. I haven't used any spacers here so it would come out another 1-2mm - does this look similar to your twingo set up? I assume the carrier sits...

Standard mk2 1.2 16 valve air intake mod

Done 50K in mine now (78K on the clock) and this rings true. Serviced every 10K, new timing belt and pump when it needs it then given a beating. Drive it like you stole it and it comes alive, as much as it can... I only use 5th for cruising on A-roads and motorway, good pull at 4K but only on...

    Rear wheel bearing

Ruined the bearings on mine with spacers, twice 😅 First replacement was eBay specials that lasted 6-12 months. Second time round I found some higher quality FAG ones. Likely to be the other side, but could be a bad bearing - If you can get the back of the car in the air and freely rotate the...

    Seat Mount Spacer Boss Thing

I believe they just raise the seat an arbitrary amount. I have seen people recommend swapping them for washers to lower a few mm - or binning them completely as @leeds2592 has suggested
