R Sport chip - your experiences?

Does anyone have an R Sport group N chip. I'm thinking 'bout it for my Mk1 172 and want to know if it's worth it. Is it easy to fit yourself, is the power gain worth the cost and how much did you pay? Cheers Rob669

    Renaultsport Clio bonanza - Devon

Can't believe how many I spotted over the weekend: Williams on Sunday at Marsh Barton and a Naples Red 16v at PC World. On Sat: another Naples 16v in Sidmouth, blue 172 Cup in Exmouth and a Shiney Black Vee in Exeter on the evening. Also sat behind an Evo 400, nice throbby sound! Rob669

    Any white Renault Sport Clios?

Who else thinks white is a good RS Clio colour? I know there were some MkI 16v's in white but I don't think RS MkIIs were available in white. Rob669

Removing rear brake caliper - easy?

I can see one of the rubber guide sleeves on the back brake caliper is no longer covering the pin. I tried everything to get the b*gger back on but it won't stay seated in the groove. Is it easy enough to take off and fiddle it onto its seat, anyone? Cheers, Rob669

    Your Winter Petrol Consumption?

I seem to be getting less mpg now it's turned colder. Mines dropped from high 30's to mid 30's - 35 mpg last time I checked. Anyone else seeing a drop to match the change in temperature? Cheers Rob669

Better front brakes pads - your recommendations please?

The time has come to check my front brake pads, so I think I might as well change them while they're out. Bog standard Ferodo's from Halfords or something more lush, your thoughts? It's a 172 by the way. Cheers, Rob669

    Puncture repair, safe

One of my Michelin PE2s has a dirty great nail in it. I might try and get a puncture repair instead of replacing it as its very new. But are puncture repairs safe? Rob669
