I have seen the threads they also ruin mpg thats why I am surprised it was so high, the performance loss is insignificant on a 1.2 with the right ducting in my opinion you can get the performance to stay the same if not a slight improvement.
Btw you may want a second cold feed I felt mine wasn't quite right when I first fitted it (engine temp climbed quickly) this may be just me but I added a second cold feed and problem solved
this is the one mate http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-57i-Induction-Kit-57-0412-for-Renault-Twingo-Clio-/290702775889?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+II%7CCars+Type%3A1.2&hash=item43af3c5651 btw thanks for the complement on the car !
yes mate the K&N is really easy to fit pretty self explanatory, the hardest bit is getting the feed out on the old air box in one piece (I split mine) :)
So I embarked on 140 mile round trip to derby to pick a bumper up, I was pleasantly surprised by the mpg figure for the run considering the car has a K&N 57i kit.
I have no idea if this is good or not any thoughts ?
I spotted this a few weeks back before going to see kick ass 2 (good film)
seemed fairly standard, very clean though. couldn't see a CS.net sticker anyone on here ?
Didn't look to bad for a campus tbh, looks lowered, center badges on the alloys have been sprayed and the rear windows tinted. anyone on here ? (if so you can't park) ;)
Finally got round to doing a project thread on the car, here's the link: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?713483-Black-amp-Orange-Mk2-project
So this starts way back in April 2012 when I picked up my first car, a 1.2 mk2 phase 2 Dynamique (52 reg). The car had 94,000 miles on the clock and slight hazing on the front headlights, the car had a full service history with receipts to prove so I wasn’t put off by the mileage it had on it...
Cheers mate getting rid of the clio bage would mean getting the holes welded or filled (a lot of work), as for the tow strap it will stay for now but once it gets faded and dirty I will remove it and not replace :)
Yeh I was going to ask for your help :) don't want a full cut out I am happy with the current one but the exhaust could do with being an inch or so higher
Yeh really pleased with them much better than the standard dynamique ones !
Cheers mate yeh I have been back and fourth on the tow strap, planning to colour code the front bumper insert and possible a cup spoiler if I can track one down.
Yeh I know, I couldn't believe how much better it...
Cheers mate :)
Heres a quick update picture, new alloys and rear bumper fitted (I had to rush off to work yesterday evening hence late update pics)
Opinions ?
Edit :
Forgot to mention I took Danman's advice and the rear diamond is now sprayed aswell :)
