Hi gents,
After a bit of rear brake help if poss please!
Was having a few issues with the right rear brake locking last weekend at Blyton... Did it in a straight line and under trail braking. Don't remember the left wheel doing it (either in a straight line or trail braking)...
Brakes have...
Went to Blyton Park yesterday with Apex Trackdays, great value day out - managed 85 trouble and traffic-free laps!
Circuit is actually very entertaining, trickier than it looks to put together clean laps. Some fast bits, some tight slow bits, plenty of run-off (see the end of the video :o), no...
Been for sale for a while, no idea how it hasn't sold! Need to shift it to make space for a new car, so now running an auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220788951084
Thanks,

Hi guys,
Went up to Cadwell on Thursday - first time there, amazing track and a great day out. Put a video together, there's some of George (G 172) in it as well :)
Whining noise is power steering... pressure sensor split after about 15 mins of track time. Luckily the Renault dealer in Louth...
Got my 172 Cup insured with Adrian Flux, premium wasn't the absolute cheapest as I had just changed car and kept with them rather than having the faff of refunds, admin fees, etc etc, but I think I have just 'benefited' from that!
Car was already insured with stripped interior, only 2 front...
Hi guys,
Currently messing around with fitting some brake ducts to my 172 Cup. Got arch liners out and carbon canister removed so a bit more space to play with.
My original plan was to run a 2" silicone hose from a custom made inlet where the fog lights were, strapping it to the lower wishbone...
Hi guys,
Currently trying to remove my carbon cannister (under drivers side wheel arch) because I think it's ticking (wanna rule out tappets), but having troubles getting the pipe (~7mm black plastic) off that attaches to the top (the one that runs towards the rear of the car). There was a...
I'm doing a bit of work on my 172 Cup to make it track-ready, so will post updates here as and when I've done anything. Won't be anything special compared with other cars like Chrispy's, but it'll keep everything in one place as reference for me...
Here's a thread I made when I first got the...
Hi guys,
Looking to get a second set of wheels only for track use, and have been given the idea by a friend that I could possibly go for some 17s and therefore benefit from cheap, used slick tyres from race cars etc.
Now, obviously the diameter would increase a bit over the standard 195/45/16s...
Hi gents,
Picked this up on Monday evening, not had chance to give it a proper thrashing yet but feels very go-kart-y! Intended use is a toy/track car, hoping to get a cage and spare set of wheels sorted asap so I can get my ass to Cadwell park and play with some Evos and Scoobys :D
All pretty...
Hi guys,
My first topic :) Couldn't find a more appropriate section for this question/thread, but apologies if it's in the wrong place!
I got myself a 172 Cup the other day and I'm gonna try and whip out excess weight, as it will be mainly used for a toy/on the track. I figure that I could...
Hi guys,
Just bought a track-focused 172 Cup which I will be picking up tomorrow if all goes well. Was amazed at the handling and pretty nippy to boot! Looking forward to giving some overweight Evos and Scoobys a run for their money at a few tracks this year
Anyone else get to Oulton...
